Sonoma grill (Sunrise HWY) in Holbrook. I don't know exactly how much they charge but they aren't that expensive for dinner.

Re: Please Help!!!

depending on how many people you're inviting, you could always have it at somebody's house. Personally, i love those sooo much more than the others. It just gives the party that intimacy of close family & friends, making it so much more personal than when you have it in a hall or a restaurant. But of course, that's no even a possibility if you're having a lot of people and nobody's house is big enough to hold them. lol. I haven't had my own shower yet, so I'm still curious as to what my girls are planning. I know MY house isn't big enough.

Re: Please Help!!!

I love the idea to have it in someones home, it really is nicer in some ways. You aren't constrained for time and you can just relax. The only bad thing about that is you have to pay for catering unless someone is a great cook and can offer their time.

Re: Please Help!!!

I asked my bm's to save money and have a sunday afternoon brunch with bagels, cream cheese spreads. cold cuts and a champagne punch. My friends are alot of fun so I think a bunch of fun games and a simple spread would be nice. JMHO

Re: Please Help!!!

Popei's Clam Bar of Deer Park...

We host a LOT of showers!!

Here's a quick low down.....

$18.99 per person includes 4 hours. Soda, coffee, tea. Salad, Appetizers, Entree, Cake service (provide your own or we do for you). Can be done buffet, sit down, or family style.

Beer/Wine/Champagne punch can be added.

Honestly, it is one of the lowest prices around for what you get for your money.

I saw someone post Sonoma Grill...nice place too, but I think they start @ 24.99 per person.

If you have any questions feel free to FM me. I've worked there for years and years.

Re: Please Help!!!

for my friends shower this past summer, we had it at her sister's house. We had ordered food, which ended up not being too expensive. And then there were simple snacks like cheese & crackers, chips & dip, that sorda thing. It was a really nice shower. No time for games though. We all hung out & chatted for a good while, then ate, then she opened a million gifts, there was dessert, and then we were all ready to move on! lol. So catering at home doesn't have to be expensive. You can find good deals. Plus, if anything you can always do like what they do in the country (at least according to country boy FH. hehe) where they kind of assign certain food for certain close family members, or to the bridal party. That way everybody's bringing a little bit and then it ends up being more than enough food for everybody.
