Married Ladies- How long did it take you to get ready on the big day???

I have my photographer for 9 hours but to be honest I don't think it's long enough because then I'll have to scimp on the time he's there in the morning taking pics of me getting ready in order to sacrifice more reception time photos at night. I'm thinking of hiring them for 2 more hours.

How long (between hair, make up, and getting dressed) did it take you to get ready on the big day?

this will not only depend on how long you take to get ready but also depends on whether anybody else will use the same hair and make up artist as you. I had hair and make up come to my house, now if i was the only one getting it done it would've taken less time. But my mom and MOH also had hair and make up done by same people. I started hair at 10am, was done with hair a little after 11am. Then They were finishing up on MOH and mom. I had time to relax, eat a little in the meantime. Then i did make up which also took an hour, then photographer took pics of me before i got dressed. I started getting dressed, putting DOJ on, garter belt and all that around 1:30pm, limo's came at 2pm

hair for just me-1 hr
make up-1 hr

but total time at my house between getting ready for me, mom, moh, eating, photo session, getting dressed was 4 hours

I think about 2 hours it took.

It you count everything, About 7 hours-- dont get scared- I went to get my hair done in queens, drove back to LI, got a manicure, did my makeup. Time flew so it didn't feel that long.
