If you dont mind answering, and dont mind the time it might take, itemized, can you tell me what you are spending to add up to a total wedding cost of___????. Im only asking to compare to what I am or anticipate spending and use as a guideline. Thanks!! (and dont leave the medicine cabinet open while you do this )

Oh...and if you could say how many ppl you are having along with the rh $

i think if i did this i'd cry honestly dh didnt even know in the end how much the total was. I started calculating how much we had spent in total and i had to stop at one point. When he saw some of the list he was shocked when he saw around what figure i was at

HOw many guests are you having? and any particular vendors you need help with. Just asking specific questions bc its going to be hard to determine by others answers, someone could spend $120 pp while another can pay $175pp for the same rh same day and everything depending on whether the person adds a bunch of extras.

I can help with guidelines for specific things, such as average prices for flowres, average for photo and so on. I dont want to post my own numbers lol sorry

Hall for 180 people. $21600
Flowers $2500-
Dj- $1700
Limos $960
Honeymoon Aruba $3000-
Favors- $1065- but also have additional candy favors so probably another $250-
Bm & parent gifts $600- approx
Invitations for 120 -- $450-
My Dress & alterations $800-
Shoes $60-
Hair/makeup for day of - $150-

I would say total about 35-40 G'ssss I am not sure what else I am missing

I'm only in beginning stages...here are my estimates

RH - $34,000 for 225 people
Band - the one we might book $6700
Photo/video - approx $6500
Limos - $1500-2000

I havent priced anything else yet.
I think my total will be near $60k...i want to cry as i type that!

I figured with honeymoon it will be about 70K. I can't believe how much this costs. I also went all out on everything, which I probably shouldnt have, but I figured what the hell....you do it once. I am sure the day after the wedding, I will regret spending that much money, but what can I do now.

I wasnt even including honeymoon...i forgot about that expense!! I guess I am up to 70k now...or more. At this rate, I'm going to be honeymooning in my backyard : )

Okay, this will be the first time doing this..

RH: $ 15K 100 people

DJ: $1,500

Flowers: $2,000

Photographer: $4,000

Officiant: $400

Dress: $900 (w/alterations)

Jewelry: $100

Hair/Make-up: $200

Shoes: $120

Invites: $400

I feel like I am forgetting something...didn't book a honeymoon...not intending to until I can pay for the stuff above...hahah

Oh...mortgage..priceless!

I don't have everything done yet, but here's what I've got so far:

RH for 200 people - 26,000
Ceremony at RH - 1,000
DJ - 600 (friend of FSIL)
Flowers (not including centerpieces) - 650
DIY Centerpieces - 200
Dress - 120 (not including alterations)
Officiant - 300 (not booked yet, but this is the ball park I'm getting - anyone have any suggestions for cheaper?)
Video - 800
BM gifts - 500
Invitations (DIY from Michaels) - 40
Shoes - 40
Hair/makeup - 160

I think that's it. The only major things I'm missing is a photographer (working on that) and the honeymoon.

I studied accounting for a long time before I got sick so everything in my life is itemized. This is what we budgeted for each and we are under budget on each item

Reception hall: $35,000 (200 people)
DJ: $4000
Limo: $2,300.00
VIDEO & PHOTO: $6600
Florist: $3000
INVITATIONS $1100
Parents & BP Gifts: $3000 (25 people in the BP)
Wedding Bands: $1700
Dress, accessories, hair & makeup: $4000
Misc. (favors, ceremony programs, etc.) $3000

Band: complicated its my uncles band
Limo: $1,500 (friend owns limo co)
VIDEO & PHOTO: $6000
Florist: $3500 (friend works got good deal for what Im getting)
INVITATIONS $900
Parents & BP Gifts: not sure total
Wedding Bands: $5000
Dress, accessories, hair & makeup: $5000 + I cant even think god help me
Misc. (favors, ceremony programs, etc.) $5000+

Okay this was crazy I did not realize how much everything was costing until I looked at it...for Misc. I really couldnt tell you so much.

So far i am at 23k with just the min at my reception hall, DJ, Florist, and Photo/Video.. i dont even know what my final cost will be!

Here we go:

1) Donation to temple - 500
2) RH/catering fees/taxes, etc. - 9,000 (75 people)
3) flowers - 2000
4) DJ - 2000
5) Photo/video/albums, etc. - 6500
6) Dress and alternations, veil - 3000
7) Hotel rooms for before and after wedding for family - $2000
8) hair/makeup - $1000

I had wanted to stay the in the 25K area, are we are doing a good job with that (not including the HM).

trust me, i'm definitely gonna be doing the math as soon as it's all over. I've been keeping a record of everything we spend so it'll be easy. I don't think i'll be too disturbed by the final price, however. I've done a really good job I think. FH has told me multiple times how proud he is of me for cutting back where I can and finding deals and what have you. Needless to say, he is sooooo grateful. lol

hmmm....everytime i do this i stop when i get up to around 50K

to be honest, im not sure, the price goes up quick if i add in expenses related to the wedding like my invisalign braces and my FH's wedding gift

there are still some things we need to book - like a shuttle and a limo - and we have to finish up on bridal party gifts......i still have alterations to do, and my FH still has to get his tux, so we have some big things and little odds and ends to take care of - also programs, placecards, favors, we have alot of little things that can add up over time....plus the HM costs we wont know how much it really costs until we get back....

one thing i did not include was my e-ring....to me that is a seperate cost (thank god! )

i don't think we are going to go over 70K i thought that we could have wedding for around 35-40K but for the things we both want it just wasn't happening and although it sickens me, part of me is kind of okay with it - b/c its everything that we really want

Band -- $13,000
Dress -- $2500
Invitations -- $800 (i'm estimating)
Wedding Rings -- $5,000
Extras -- $1,000 (fans, slippers, etc if I do them)
shoes/veil/hairpiece -- $250
Honeymoon -- $6,000
BM/GM gifts -- $500

Of course none of this includes tips and I'm sure I'm forgetting things like hair & makeup, etc

forgot officiant -- $300.
