Video

I know there is a lot of talk of having vs. not having a video and those brides who have done it, suggest it so you can see everything you missed out on. I think I have decided that I definately want it for the ceremony because hearing our recitation of the vows and that moment is so important but for money saving sake, I was thinking of just pics for the ch and reception. What does everyone think about this idea and how much money do think I would save my only doing ceremony?

TIA!!

Re: Video

It's so weird that you posted this. I just called my hotel to see how many ppl blocked rooms and we were chit chatting and she actually said to me, "Watever you do...GET A VIDEO! It's the only thing I regret about my wedding day 5 years ago" So it is still obviously eating her up 5 years later. I say do it!

Re: Video

i got video but did both ceremony and reception, our videographers even came with us when we were taking pics for 2 hours and filmed us. Now with my wedding just a memory, i cant wait to see my video, its feeling so far away and i want to relive the day, so much of it is a blur

i personally also wanted reception bc i want to see guests enjoying themselves, first dance, dance with my father, dh's dance with his mom, bil speech.

Denise, how much did you pay for your video (if you feel like revealing)? I called over to pennylane and they wanted a lot for just the trailer and raw footage. TIA

They have their prices listed on their website actually. They have different packages such as 1 cameraman, 2 cameras and other things so depends on what you want. I do have to say that the prices went up a few weeks after I booked but regardless yes they are pricey and more than other companies. I had the 2 camera package, but day of there were actually 3 videographers.

Re: Video

if you're going to do video, you should consider having all of it recorded (in my opinion). You'll be able to see your parents & other relatives dancing, moving, talking, laughing, and show that to your children and grandchildren (if dvds are still playable by then).
