Reading for a Child to do during Ceremony..
We went to the church and chose our readings, etc. But my FG and RBs older brother is 9 and his mom (who is my MOH) asked if there is a short reading he could maybe do. I also think it would be a nice way to include him. The other readings we have are a little long and wordy. Unless instead of having the Cantor sing the responsorial psalm i can maybe have him read it?? Any other ideas?? TIA .. .

He could read the response psalm. I know some of the readings are wordy but could you have him do the prayer of the faithful? What about incorporating a short poem?

i was thinking of that as well.. i sent his mom the prayer of the faithful.. ( we picked the shortest one..) .. so if she thinks he can do it .. or wants to have him practice then maybe that will work.
I was thinking of a poem..but was trying to figure out where to add one or what to use. I know some churches don't like other things to be added.. although my church seems to be pretty easy going about everything so far.. love them!!! TY
