Another 1 bites the dust
So, FH got a call from his friend last night that he was not going to be a GM.
So now we are down 2 GM. I'm not sure how to do the processional now. I have 5 girls and 3 guys. 2 Maids of Honor, 1 Matron of Honor and 2 Bridesmaids.
Any ideas??????

SO sorry to hear that you are having this problem- is the number of guy include the best man??if so then you only have one guy to walk down- usually the best man is already standing up with fh. i guess i would have everyone just walk alone down.

ETA: The maid of honor usually walks down along anyhow, since the best man is already at the front. . .
Have the 2 BMs walk with the 2 GMs and the maid / matrons walk alone!

Maybe 2 Bridesmaids can walk down with one Groomsman, then one bm and one gm, then the Maid and Matron of honor walk with the best man?

His cousins engagement party is that night and he was asked to be the Best Man. So, he has to go to Jersey from 7-11 for the party. Which he found out about this past Sunday. He was asked to be a GM 1 1/2 years ago.

Try this:
1 GM walks with 2 BM
1 GM walks with 2 Maids of Honor
1 GM walks with Matron of Honor.
Then it is consisten and your Matron is still different then the rest.

The maids and matron walk back on their own?? I thought they walk back with the Best man? I was thinking of having my maids with the best man, my matron and 1 bm with a gm and the last bm with a gm. This stinks!!!

How about having 2 of the guys walk 2 girls. One on each side. We had FH & his brother walk mil into our wedding and my older brother walked in w/ the fg & rb

Don't stress about it, you should be enjoying your wedding planning. One thing I found out at my wedding is that most people don't notice 80% of the things we think are such a big deal. Nobody will be paying attention to who is walking to who at the end of the wedding....honestly, nobody cares. All they will care about is that YOU (the bride and groom) are smiling and happy, that's what's important.
