ATTN Woodlands Brides

I just called to confirm my tasting and I have been informed that my bm (eirika) is no longer there. i am now onto bm #3! i only booked the venue in march!! i am now dealing with maureen - she is the director of sales, so i'm hoping she won't leave before january. i did just speak to her and she's super nice....she kept telling me that it's all about me, which i really appreciate!!

i am not a woodlands bride but one of my Bms was and let me tell you how fantastic everything was...if you want...fm me and I can send you trailer tease from the videographer for a sneak peak. Seriously though..my rh changed my bm on me and it pissed me off too but ended up being fine...no worries!

Yah I'm not that concerned. I'd seen similar posts that this happened to other brides at the Woodlands and it also happened to my sister (her wedding is in two weeks at the W in Manhattan). We aren't having a sit down dinner, just doing stations through the night, and Erica really "got" that so that's my only concern that maybe this new woman won't be as on board with our ideas. But it's good to know so I can call and introduce myself ... since apparently they weren't going to let me know. Thanks again!

they do seem to have a high turnover there, but I'm sure everything will be great....the maitre'd wond up leaving right before our wedding, but the new one Antonio, was amazing and every detail went off without a hitch.

I do think it's odd that they don't call you and notify you when the person you work with leaves, but they seem to have everything else under control so i just overlooked that

How annoying? You would think an email would at least be sent out. It does seem like it happened a lot in the past and everyone's wedding still went over well. Thanks for the heads up. She just emailed me a week ago recommending a makeup artist. So weird.

i've been engaged for 2 years & am getting married at the woodlands. when i first booked i had maureen as my consultant & then she left for a short while (she was so helpful while she was there). then i got raquel (who is a godsend!)...i have to say, between the two of them everything has been made so easy (well...as easy as it can get i guess!). the whole staff at the woodlands is phenomenal! they're always willing to accommodate you & your guests. (& don't get me started on the awesome bridal attendant...she's the bomb!) good luck & don't worry...you're in great hands!


...although maybe it's not the same maureen? either way the woodlands rocks when it comes to food & service!

Does anyone have Maureen's email address? There was so much Eirika and I discussed that I foolishly did not make her include in the contract. I am freaking out a little. Thanks!

I worked with Maureen in the past, She actually did my bridal shower at Cafe on The Green. I had a lot of issues with her. I did not find her professional and everything was do not worry honey. I had originally met her at The Woodlands when I was looking for somewhere to have my engagement party. I felt she was very quick with me and a bit pushy. Sorry if this upsets anyone but these were my encounters with her. Good luck.

Arrrggghh so annoying! I had Margaret and I am not to sad she left. I was most recently working with Denise, anyone know if she is still there?

Here's something that annoyed me. I saw my contract and it still had Margaret as my main person, I asked them to change it and they said NO!

Really, so far I have had no other problems, they've been great, I, like the others just wish I would find out from them, not on here. Although, thank god for here!

Hey all! Getting married a thte woodlands on NYE and I too am now on my 3rd person at the Woodlands...started w/ Lauren...then Erika and now Maureen as well....I spoke w/ Maureen yesterday (who is in fact the Maureen who used to work there and left for 1.5 years) I'm meeting with her next week to go over everything I had already discussed w/ Lauren and then Erika and now Maureen.....

Erika ASSURED my parents 1 week ago she was there to stay and loved it and not to worry.....apparently that wasn't the case!!!!

I'm sure it will all work out but I too was shocked when I called to talk to Erica that she was gone and no one contacted me!!!

I'm sure everything will be wonderful. Maureen is fabulous. My sister dealt with her a few years ago when she was engaged and planning her wedding at the Woodlands. Maureen was always incredibly helpful and professional. You're in good hands!
