finally doing my thank yous...

well were approaching the 90 day mark so i just got them about 2 weeks ago and i finaly have some time to write them.. is it wrong to put a generic phrase in all of them... i dont think my brain can handle making up 100 unique cards.. granted these quite a few that will get different things...something along the lines of.. Thank you so much for you wonderful wedding gift we are so greatful that you were able to share in our specail day. ???

my default TY note (for people i didnt know well enough to write something personal) was something along the lines of:

Dear _____

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous (very generous, extremely generous, or no "generous" at all lol) wedding gift. it was so nice of you to think of us at this very special time in our lives. we were so happy that you were able to come to our wedding and hope you had a great time. our day wouldn't have been the same without you there. we look forward to seeing you again soon (we hope!)

love, the newlyweds

then i tried to tweak them a little and add an add'l line or two if they were going to close friends or family who might compare, mentioned being glad they made the trip etc for OOTers, mentioned memories of them from the wedding if i had any, thanked people for the great pictures they took if that applied, etc. the really special people got reaaaally long thank yous. for most people it wasnt too hard to come up with something personal to say. for some i wrote that we'd be back in NY for thanksgiving and hoped to see them then, etc.
