Re: Readings....
Not sure if this is what you are looking for. But these are the readings that we've chosen. HTH!
OLD TESTAMENT Sirach 26:1-4, 13-16 A reading from the book of Sirach Happy the husband of a good wife,twice-lengthened are his days; a worthy wife brings joy to her husband, peaceful and full is his life. A good wife is a generous gift bestowed upon him who fears the LORD; be he rich or poor, his heart is content, and a smile is ever on his face. A gracious wife delights her husband, her thoughtfulness puts flesh on his bones; a gift from the LORD is her governed speech, and her firm virtue is of surpassing worth. Choicest of blessings is a modest wife, priceless her chaste person. Like the sun rising in the LORD'S heavens, the beauty of a virtuous wife is the radiance of her home. The word of the Lord.
NEW TESTAMENT I Corinthians 13:1-13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. The Word of the Lord

Re: Readings....
I am using Irish Blessing but, its the non religous one. I almost used this one too.
Irish Blessing
May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your home, The rains fall soft upon your fields. And the light of friendship guide your paths together, And until we meet again, May you see your children's children. May you be poor in misfortune, Rich in blessings. May you know nothing but happiness from this day forward. May green be the grass you walk on. May blue be the skies above you, May pure be the joys that surround you, May true be the hearts that love you. And when eternity beckons, at the end of a life heaped high with love, May you know the hand of a friend was always near. And, today, may the Spirit of Love find a dwelling place in your hearts
"Love" by Roy Croft
I love you, Not only for what you are, But for what I am When I am with you.
I love you, Not only for what You have made of yourself, But for what You are making of me.
I love you For the part of me That you bring out; I love you For putting your hand Into my heaped-up heart And passing over All the foolish, weak things That you can’t help Dimly seeing there, And for drawing out Into the light All the beautiful belongings That no one else had looked Quite far enough to find.
I love you because you Are helping me to make Of the lumber of my life Not a tavern But a temple; Out of the works Of my every day Not a reproach But a song.
I Love you Because you have done More than any creed Could have done To make me good, And more than any fate Could have done To make me happy.
You have done it Without a touch, Without a word, Without a sign. You have done it By being yourself. Perhaps that is what Being a friend means, After all.
