Yellow: second thoughts

Hey girls-

I am planning on using yellow for my BM's. They all said they would be ok with it but I am getting nervous. My accent colors are chocolate brown and ivory. The colors are so "me." I think it looks nice together but for some reason I am feeling nervous...

I am using mostly roses for my flowers so if I did change colors I would have to use a color that I could get a rose in.

I don't really like pink all that much...

What do you all think? What would be nice with ivory and chocolate brown? I like softer colors, nothing too bold...

You think yellow BM dresses will be ok?

I like the yellow but pink would also go nicely with the brown and ivory.

my girls are wearing a soft buttercup yellow dress. i havent pin-pointed what exactly i am going to do with the flowers yet, but i am thinking white daisies with the yellow/green center, yellow gerber daisies, green hydrangia, and maybe the yellow rose that has the orange tip (i think they call it a circus rose) for some contrast. i haven't seen it all put together yet, but any combination of those i think will go really well.

I love yellow!! Its my fav color!! I think it will be a nice change from all of the pink, brown, and ivory combos I am seeing nowadays... I LOVE it!!

I def think you should keep yellow. My friend got married last year and she always wanted to do purple but was afraid of how it would look on everyone, what flowers would match, etc. etc so she was going to do a different color. She stuck with purple though and she said she was sooo happy she did bc she felt like any other color wouldn't have been right!

(But don't feel bad, I'm having the same issue. )

a subtle shade of green or lavender would look nice with chocolate & ivory. so would blue.

I think pale yellow would be better, and maybe be less stressful. Bright yellow might seem risky, even though it's gorgeous, but pale yellow is so flattering and soft and pretty . . . . maybe just tone the yellow down, rather than eliminating it!!1

I think a pale yellow would look awesome with chocolate and ivory. Like a bright pastel banana, if that makes any sense? I've been trying to hunt down a shirt in this color all summer, it's an elusive little bugger!

Only thing I would do maybe instead is have the main color be chocolate, and have the yellow and ivory be accents.

I am doing the same type of colors and yellow dresses are amazing.... look at Jordan dresses.

Im using yellow dress too.... canary from Davids... I 'm gonna go with pink flowers (roses) with a splasd\h of green and maybe ivory or orange

I"m also using yellow...since I love yellow roses (my favorite!!)...but I'm also using a light green, like celadon...it's a very beautiful and soft combo...I'm realy excited about it, but the ivory and chocolate would actually go beautifully with it!!

i love pale yellow, especially paired with green too to lighten things up and make them summery. there are so many pretty things you can do with those colors!

think carefully before you change what you had -- you said your colors were "so you" and i think that's important

my colors were very "me" and while my choice was a little uncommon i was very happy with everything and got a lot of compliments from our guests. and... i liked it even if they didnt.
