I think it can be thrown by either the mother of the bride or the BP or both.

Usually it's a surprise but I've been to showers where the bride plans it with her mom and/or bp

Does anyone have any suggestions for places where I can throw the shower and have it cost a small fortune?

Your house? How many people were you thinking?

See if any nearby restuarants have a small back room.

Sorry your MOHs are being like this. You shouldn't have to plan and pay for shower.

MOB or BP or MOH. My Mom will be throwing mine with the help of the BP.

There is a nice place in Queens called Bruno's on the Blvd. and I threw my sister's shower there and it was great and really affordable... you can check them out and talk to Maddy if you call them, she is the only woman there and she really goes out of her way to help you.
