Im a preschool teacher and worked camp all summer. We finish this week and have 2 weeks off thank God!!! Not looking foward to the new kids coming in though, they are toughies

I go back for teacher training (even though this is my 5th year teaching) on MONDAY!!!!
The kids start September 2. Summer is over! At least with all the wedding planning, this school year will fly by!

i am starting my first real teaching job! im so nervous! i student taught this past spring semester and graduated in may ... im excited yet scared! i hope those little 9th and 10th grade brats don't eat me alive ... im small and look really young so everyone keeps telling me to be tough and mean! im going to try 
I know how you feel! I will be continuing a leave replacement I began in March (unless I find a permanent job...cross your fingers, everyone) in a junior-senior high. Everyone I meet thinks I am in high school instead of teaching it! What subject do you teach? I teach English. Anyway, it is tough to establish authority sometimes with the older kids when we look their age. Just tonight, I was IDed when buying a scratch-off!

I hear ya, girl! How about my distric that's doing construction and won't let us into the building unitl Supt. Conference Day on the 2nd - that's going to end up being like 1/2 a day to set up EVERYTHING! Talk about anxiety!!!!

Girl!! ITs HORRIBLE!!!! Its like a 2 week long staff developement about NOTHING!!!! Im so annoyed!!!!!! I teach in Washington DC at a high school.... Im soooo madd!! After 5 years of teaching and 3 years of being at the same school what more can they tell me!!!!

There are still two weeks left and I already have anxiety haha. Anyone else out there gearing up to go back? I have Staff development to plan, 5 new teachers to train and a few kids set up to test and I feel the hives starting to form. Not to mention the thought of the dreaded alarm clock going off and sitting on the Belt Parkway  .
Oh $h!% the belt parkway is something that I will NOT miss at all about teaching last year!
