Infant car seat
What kind do you have? MY SIL is giving us her toddler car seat, so we need to buy a infant seat for now.

Okay, we registered for the Snug-ride by Graco
and also the Snap and Go thingy. I know that it might not be worth it since we won't get as much use as we would a travel system, but we are getting a Peg Perego stroller and a Britax carseat from my SIL. So, I guess we can use the infant stuff with our next child too!

Nina, if you already have a stroller, than you cannot go wrong w/the Graco Snug ride and the Snap-n-Go. Ask Anna - we swear by this product! I miss mine, now that Paul has outgrown it!

I agree with Claud wholeheartedly!! I put the infant car seat into the snap and go just to run into starbucks - it's that simple to just pop it out of the trunk and go-even its just for 5 minutes. I definitely recommend it. I thought I wouldnt use one but my SIL lent me hers and I'm wearing it out LOL
Claud-Im almost there and will be too when he outgrows it
edited to add: I know people wonder why get the infant seat for just a few months - but you can't go wrong. I'm lending mine to a friend in July and then hopefully by the time she's done with it, I'll need it again.
What a coup for you getting a Britax from your SIL
