how funny! its like my wedding day all over again...minus the wedding part
Since we'll be all dressed up tomorrow for the ball, we were thinking it'd be an opportunity to take some of the pictures our photographer missed...some of the more artsy / romantic shots.
Originally we were going to try and do them ourselves with a tripod, but then we thought about finding someone willing to do it for free.
So I put an ad up on craigslist, and found a photographer just starting out who needs wedding pics for her portfolio. We get the negatives, and all the prints. She'll scan some photos for her website and pay for the film. We just have to pay for developing ($15/roll) - I imagine we'll only shoot a roll or two.
How awesome is that? I want to get some pics with SF landmarks...like the Palace of Fine Arts, maybe the GG Bridge. And some of the poses I'm so jealous of that you girls have...
Of course they won't be in our album but we'll still have them!
I know, I know, I'm crazy!

I think that's a great idea. If I had the opportunity to wear my dress again I definitely would do it and get those shots I see on here that I don't have!

Oh Lisa, I am so happy for you, all I ask is that share the pix. I can't wait to see them. How exciting. You should have done a mock bo-k etc etc. I am so excited for you I cannot wait. Have lots of fun with it.

OMG! As if I wasn't homesick for CA enough...now you are making me *extremely* jealous that you'll have pics in your wedding gown with San Francisco in the background! I am signing off right NOW to go CRY!

You know Lisa, you are giving me ideas here, the only problem is, my hubby might not go along with it. I would love to take pix on the Bklyn Bridge, by the flat iron bldg etc. He would look at me like I was crazy. Al is such a sport

thanks girls! you're the only ones that understand...
I won't have a bouquet, but I may pick up just a single flower or two to hold. And I won't have my veil.
I've been going through all the pictures on here to get some ideas.
Don't worry, I'll post the pics and a full review of the ball next week (we're heading to Tahoe tomorrow morning).

Lisa - have you thought about going over to the Marin Headlands to take some pics on cliff overlooking the GG Bridge? Or the Presido? I think those would make stunning backdrops! One of my favorite pics of all time is one that DH took of me at the Marin Headlands...with the bridge and the city behind me....(it's the quintessential "If you're going to SF, remember to wear flowers in your hair" photo! LOL!)
I wish I could've had the chance for similar wedding pics, tho!

thats a great picture!
unfortunately, we're strapped for time. By the time Al gets home and gets ready, we won't have much daylight left, so I won't be able to get as many locations as I would have liked.
