I went to Paradisus Palma Real for a wedding last summer. The resort was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, many guests had problems with their rooms. It was only open for less than a year when we stayed there...so maybe there were kinks that they were still trying to fix.

I just got back from there on friday. W stood at the Riu resort in punta cana. Check pix in my album. It was our second time at the same hotel and thinking of going back next yr

PUNTA CANA is the best place to visit. I went to Melia Caribe and OMG OMG OMG i never wanted to leave. It was the best my FH wants to go back there every year...its not a bad thing but i need a change...hehehehe. oh and we are going there for our HM.. I wanted to go to either the bahamas or PR but no he wants to go to DR

YES!!!! FH and I stayed there last year and could not have been happier. Loved every minute and did not want to leave.

we have friends that stayed there last year as well, and for a Paradisus they had a lot of issues

we went to Iberostar Bavaro this past may and omg it was GREAT! we had a graet time and never had to leave the resort. the staff is very nice and the drinks weren't watered down.
just one piece of advice---verify that any construction at the place will be done. they were re-vamping the swim-up bar section of the pool while we were there and we couldn't use it.  BUT i'm pretty sure it has to be done by now and ready for use and better than ever.
i have heard that Excellence Punta Cana is GREAT HM spot as well---its a little more $$ than the other resorts -- but from friends who have gone there, they said it was amazing.
the beach and water in Punta Cana is unreal--you'll have a great time if you choose that place!

We've gone for the past two years and love it there. Gorgeous beach, great restaurants, casino and night life. Can't beat it!

We got engaged there last year we stayed at the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana, it was gorgeous we absolutely loved it!! The rooms where great.

I love love love it!!!! Not only b/c i myself am Dominican but the food is great, the people are wonderful, culture, dancing and even better its very inexpensive. Punta Cana is good and so is La Romana, but even staying In Santo Domingo is great too you just have to choose the right one. hope you have a great time!!!

I went to Punta Cana once..we stayed at Occidental Allergo, which was great but I wouldn't reccommend it for a honeymoon! I would reccommend Punta Cana just a different resort!

We just went for a week this past February to Excellence Punta Cana and LOVED it. Lots of choices for restaurants, beautiful rooms, great pools and the people who work there were just the nicest I've encountered on a vacation. We would definitely recommend it.
