i hate job hunting!!!

but not as much as i hate resume writing!!!!!!! im a big duh-duh when it comes to grammer and english and i dont want to sound stupid when i send this considering i really need to get a job! any suggestions on where i can go to have this looked?? Dh was able to go to his college where he graduated and they did it for him.. but i went to suffolk and they dont. I went to boces so im going to try and contact them after the weekend. but i really dont have any other ideas... maybe you girls do?

is there a recruiting agency you can use? one that also has jobs in the field you are looking for? it will be great bc they can help find you a job and on top of that they go over your resume and tell you changes you should make and make suggestions what else to put in there

also you can look on monster.com they have examples of resumes...also if you do a search in google you can look at samples of resumes

thanks denise... there are agencys but i heard that most facilities are trying to do away with agency nurses (i dont know if this is fact i just hear throught the grapevine) so im trying to do it on my own. i have found quite a few listings and i really want to get my resume out ther ebut everytime iread it i say to myself "i would never hire this person" so i think it just needs some sprucing up ya know?

i would still call one of the agencies especially since its only gossip youre hearing and nothing for a fact. Even if you dont get a job through an agency, you can go there to have them help you with your resume and at least get that out of it. Do a search for sample nurse resumes online, you should get tons of results and see what you can take from them to add to yours

i JUST went through this and went to a few workshops in my school... i NEVER had them look or revise mine.. but i gots me a job.. lol so i guess the workshops worked!

I am probably no help because I ended up paying someone to do mine.

I googled resumes and got some good ideas from that and then paid someone who writes resumes as a profession to fine tune it for me!
