LISTEN TO THIS....VENT!

So I was talking to my sister and my mom about my wedding and what I wanted to do 2 days before. I wanted to take that Wednesday and do something fun, nad non expensive..so I decided on Adventure Land. I decided on this months ago and my sister and mom were all for it. NOw my sister tells me she doesn't know she can do it or not because she wants to make sure she has enough time to see all my relatives from FL. They are coming up on Sept 11th and leaving on Sept. 18th. My sister said if she takes off on Wed she has to go back on Wednesday leaving only 6 days with them. Not counting the 2 days for my wedding(the day before and the actual day) She said she is gonna try but can't make any promises she knows I am mad about it and doesn't think I should be mad about it. So why is she changing her mind all of a sudden. I am sick and tired of people dumping on me. And now my mom is not gonna go cause she doesn't like rides after she was all for it. We used to go there all the time when I was little, so what has changed?? I don't get it.

I guess I will be going without them. I really hope my FIL will go!!!! There is no way I am going to work that day! I want 2 days off before my wedding!

What do you all think? I think I have a right to be mad! I am moving to West Islip after I am married and Shirley is not around the corner. It's not like they are gonna see me everyday either!!! Oh the drama....will it ever stop???

aww im sorry you are upset...but if i can be completely honest, i would try not to be too upset..shes taking off the day before your wedding to be with u and your wedding and its understandable that she wants to spend time with the oot people so wants to use her extra day for that instead...but it def stinks that she was all for it for months and is now changing her mind!

I am a little upset cause she told me that she would do it, and now she may not? When was she gonna tell me the day before?? If I didn't bring it up, she would never have!

In other words I want her to stay @ the same hotel FH and I are staying in along with my IL's. SHe said she wants to get a cheap hotle cause it's $168..not to mention that her stimulus check she is using for a new phone for $400!!! Why not use that $$ for the hotel?

Sometimes I wish people would say what they mean!

Is adventureland open at night? maybe you can compromise. I understand her situation because I am doing the vac time crunch with my kids for the summer and the honeymoon. FH works weekends, when I am off, and it is cheaper to go to the casinos during the week when he is off but I don't have enough time. I would suggest going after works hours or see if maybe she can leave a little earlier. Sometimes family weddings can be time consuming and expensive to other family members. For my wedding, I took into consideration my brother and sister's schedule since they are attornies in the city with long work hours. I would not be upset if I was you.

i am sorry, is it hard for her to take off of work? i know it S*CKS but seems like she has good reason.

ALSO think about whether or not you will have time to do this, the week of the wedding can be hectic with ALOT to do so make sure you have the time to do this...i thought the last week i was going to relax and just enjoy it but WOW did it turn out to be the opposite...the last 2 weeks can be the worst bc thats when vendors call and start making appointments for final payments, going over things, going to the Rh dropping things off and finalizing everything.

Yeah, tell me about it! She works at Lowes. I just thought she be there but if she could take a 1/2 day that would be better!!!

Day before I gotta pick my dress up, hers, drop things off at the RH, my nails done, toes done, drop FH car off at the hotel, have dinner with him!!
