JUNE '09 WEDDING @ Beckwith Pointe!

Does anyone have any tips on how I should go about making sure everything is elegant and perfect at this location?

I read some not so good reviews on this site and I am going to be in the "small room" at this location as I only have 100 people at my wedding.

They also required that I have a MINIMUM of 100 ppl, but I am seeing that others were able to book less. Any suggestions from those who had functions there recently would be great!

Well, what was not so good about the reviews you've heard? You should voice your concerns with your banquet manager and hopefully they can do something to ease your nervousness!

I'm not sure of the bad reviews you have heard. I've never been to a wedding there but as an event planner myself here is some advise.

Make sure you have everything you want done written down. Go over it with them in detail and give them a copy. Don't assume they understand exactly what your talking about, make sure they can repeat what you want in detail. I'm not sure if you are having a DOC (day of coordinator) or not but since you seem a little nervous I would suggest you hire one. If you cant afford one, give a copy of your list to a close friend or family member that is not in your wedding party and assign them the tasks of making sure your wishes are carried out.

Have an honest convo with your RH and inform them of the bad reviews you have heard and ask them how they will not let this happen at your reception.

Thank you so much for your reply girls.

I'm sorry, I realized I didn't specify my concerns. I've read that the food isn't that great- -which I know isn't really in my control at this point since I already booked with them. Also, a few people stated that the space is really tight once the tables are set up and the artificial "wall" they use to seperate CH and the reception room looks tacky and guests come in and out as they please during cocktail hour

My other concern is the costs issue. I saw a few BTB here say they were charged $85pp for only 85ppl, but they told me that I HAD TO have 100ppl at $95pp.
