Since we are talking about waxing....

I really want to do it but am seriously afraid of the pain. Does it hurt really bad? AAAnd does it last longer? I think I may do it.

Re: Since we are talking about waxing....

I get my eyebrows waxed. It doesn't hurt bad..I am used to it by now. Just a quick pinch that's all...the worst is when they tweeze!!!

Has anyone gotten their underarms done? I want a clean shave for my wedding! I was considering having it done. Anyone gone through it?

Are you talking about brazilian or other areas

i get waxed and honestly really not that bad, you feel it for a few seconds but definitely not something that is unbearable or else none of us would get waxed lol or less people would. Eyebrows and many other parts are not bad and after a while you feel even less

take 2 advils 30 mins before it helps

Oh no I never got that done! But I want to get my underarms done. When I shave with a razor it's fine for like a day and then it starts to grow the next day! I was hoping by waxing I would get a cleaner shave and it will last while I am still on my honeymoon!!!!

doing it yourself is alot harder...for one you have to make sure youre pulling in the right direction and also when you pull it yourself you wont pull with the same force so that can cause your skin to rip off...ALSO you HAVE to be completely dry, so if its a hot day and youre even a little bit sweaty then that can rip your skin down there, thats why its good to put baby powder on before waxing and that goes with any part of your body or face that you wax, put baby powder on it first. The main reason skin will get ripped off is if youre even a little sweaty or if you didnt pull propery and if you decide to go over the spot again

I once was stubborn and wanted to get a bikini wax on one of those days that was 100+ degrees although i was told no bc the moisture would cause my skin to rip but i didnt listen and yup that happened to me too

theres a few places not many though that using a numb cream before doing a brazilian wax...thing is to find one that does this

but if not take the 2 advils, takes away from the pain a little bit

Im def gonna do the advil thing. Does it actually last longer than shaving?

it lasts ALOT longer than shaving...generally with waxing it shouldnt grow back for about a month, sometimes its 2-3 weeks but should be about a month...plus after you wax the hair grows back alot softer and after waxing for a while less hair will grow back...so thats why the more you wax the less painful it gets bc the hair doesnt grow back as thick

with shaving though your hair grows back alot thicker plus you can get 2 hairs for every hair shaved sometimes...thats why it will hurt when you first start waxing an area that you normally shave

the more you'll do it the easier it will be, maybe take 3 advils before lol. And like i said make sure you are COMPLETELY dry if not have them put baby powder on first, but many places will do this regardless. Good luck and dont worry it wont be that bad, itll be over before you know it

Re: Since we are talking about waxing....

ouch this is making me cringe. I once tried to do it myself and let the wax get too hot and gave myself like 3rd degree burns on my crotch. yea...I would recomend getting it done professionally.

Re: Since we are talking about waxing....

I do bikini waxing and what I have told my friends if they are scared is this:

take two ibuprofen about a half hour before. I dont have to because it doesnt bother me but try it out. It is so worth it!
