Rental apartments

Does anyone know what teh max percentage amount a landlord can raise your rent by in Nassau county? I believe nassau is protected by a rent stabalization law, but I can't find anywhere how much they are allowed to raise the rent by. DH and I want to get an idea as to if we can afford our apartment after our year is up.

TIA!

Re: Rental apartments

I've never heard about it before but now I'm curious - we're renting in Nassau too. . .

Re: Rental apartments

I think it all depends where you are. Like a complex or a private home.

Re: Rental apartments

We are in Suffolk and an apartment complex - our rent went up about $30 a month for this year.

Re: Rental apartments

sorry to crash, but the apartment complex I was in last year, if I had renewed the lease, would have raised the rent by $75
