Shibas are very popular these days. JD is 4 years old and when we first got him, most ppl have never heard of the breed.

We got ours in FL where we live. We found a reputable Shiba Inu breeder from the AKC website. Here is the link:

We got JD from the pet shop at the Sunrise Mall. We also got a Yorkshire Terrior and a Shitzu from that place. Soco was given to us by someone who didn't want her.

Just a FIY for those who are looking into getting a Shiba Inu. My dog constantly has ear infections. My friend's shiba has similar problems with his ear but not as bad. The Vet thinks he has food allergy.

Thanks. I am looking to find a good breeder I found a store out east that says they only get there dogs from reputable breeders but we bought our daschund from a dog store and she had so many problems I didn't want to go to another store.

The pet shop told us JD is from a reputable breeder who breeds show dogs. JD has 2 champions in his line and was destined to be a show dog but he was born with 1 white paw so they sold it to the pet shop. :(
