7 year olds and their standards...
Im SO GLAD 7 year olds have standards when it comes to boys... My niece and her friend are having a sleep over and they start talking about their dreamy crushes (I dont remember having crushes at 7 but thats a whole NOTHER story) Anyway the Jonas Brothers come on and the other little girl says, "OMG I LOVE HIM" and pretends to faint. My niece then says, "Ooooh I love CODY" from Suite like of Zack and Cody. And the other little girl goes, "He's way too smart for me"  I almsot died laughing. I looooove listening to their conversations!!

some of the stuff out of their mouths is too funny!!!
My 7 year old niece loves shopping...so i told her she better marry a nice rich man...she then asked "Why?" and i said "So he can buy you all the stuff you want"...she then asked, "Is that why you married Uncle Blaine?" i laughed and said "I wish!"
ETA: i did have a crush at that age...Eric Estrada from CHIPS!!!

these children KNOW too much... My son just mentioned how some of the older kids were putting BIKINI WASHER as a job on the game MASH.
then he went girls who wear bikinis are (and he whispered in a hush voice) SEXAAAAAAY.. and then whistled

I really dont remember if I had a crush that young. I remember thinking Atreyu from neverending story was a hottie but I dont remember how old I was.

Me too! Actually, I liked Ponch and John equally and refused to chose to commit to one or the other. I had two nightgowns from Sears with their pictures on them. One said, "My heart belongs to Ponch" and the other said, "My heart belongs to John".
I even remember having a fight with my Mom in Sears over buying BOTH of them. She was like you can only love one. You MUST choose one or the other! Yeah right lady! You try choosing between these two ..... I made her buy me BOTH! I would wear which ever one floated my boat that particular night!
What was I thinking? Officer Poncherello was obviously hotter than John! Duh! John looks like a doofus with hat head whereas Ponch is all suave in this photo!
I can still hear the theme music in my head....

My 8 year old niece found one of my old games where you had to call these boys and figure out who liked you from the clues. So, the first card she picks up is this guy with glasses and I said OOOH MAYBE HE LIKES YOU!!! and she looks at me DEAD serious and says "Zia, I hope it isn't him because men with glasses look weak."
