Love it!

Re: DIY - Pocketfolds

you can get the pockets premade at Cardsandpockets.com, or you can get paper to cut at Paper Presentation in NYC, or pre-cut paper at Anchor Paper.

I recommend Anchor Paper, the quotes I got from them (you can ask for certain quantities and sizes) wound up being cheaper than buying the paper and cutting it myself, and I know the measurements will be exact

cardsandpockets.com

Its taking me a long long time, but I started early thinking and experimenting...

I think you can do it in a weekends, if you have access to a good printer, good paper cutter and good glue!

And don't go back and forth on your colors and design every few days, like I did.

Re: DIY - Pocketfolds

I purchased pocket folders online from MyGatsby.com. They also sell the inserts. Instead of buying the inserts, I purchased a pack of cardstock from Staples for like $3 and paid for them to cut the cardstock into two sizes.

I ran one size through my printer to print direction cards and the other size was used for my reception card.

Re: DIY - Pocketfolds

I did the same thing PP did. I bought envelopments and printed all the inserts on regular cardstock.

Re: DIY - Pocketfolds

i bought my pocketfolds from cardsandpockets.com. I bought 12x12 paper from michaels to use as the background mats (i'm cutting this myself). And I got the paper for the actual invite and inserts from papersandmore. I fell inlove w/ their linen paper and their prices are not bad.

Haven't done any printing so I don't know how long it will take but i'm doing it in stages. The time doesn't compare to how much money i'm saving and the creativeness i get to put into the project!

Re: DIY - Pocketfolds

I found a site called Inspired Brides that has pocketfold "kits" that are pretty inexpensive.

http://www.inspiredbrides.com

I think they're new because every day a couple more kits appear on the site.

My favorite place for pocketfold ideas is the "Recipes" section at Envelopments:

That website is great. I think I'm going with them as well. I love their patterned pocketfolds. They're so different!

Re: DIY - Pocketfolds

My favorite was the scotch permanent double sided tape, it seems to take a full half day to really dry, so you can still peel and move stuff around a little.
