For Hawaii HM Brides
Should I be booking dinner reservations before I leave? I'm going to Maui, Kauai and Oahu...how hard is it to get dinner reservations at the nicer places?

I think in Oahu you shouldnt have any problems at all. Usually everyone who goes there makes reservations while vacationing...weve never had any problems with dinner reservations in Oahu...the other islands im not so sure about.

If you are planning on going to Mama's Fish house in Maui (which I recommend you do) and want to be there during sunset, then I would make one as soon as you can. That goes for most places on the beach if you want reservations during sunset. Any other time I think you will be ok waiting till you get there.

In Maui, the only place where we had trouble getting reservations was at a restaurant at the Four Seasons. Otherwise, we didn't have any problems.

DH and I went to Maui and Kauai over X-Mas and New Years and there were certain places you defintely needed to make a reservation for in Maui. If you plan on going to SANSEI which has AMAZING sushi you're going to need a reservation. Mama's Fishhouse is also a place i'de make reservations for.
