suggestions?venue-searching East End this weekend
any suggestions....I am headed out to look at venues in Montauk/Hamptons. Going to look at Montauk Yacht Club. Maybe Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf.
Would prefer restaurant/hotel with no site rental fee, I would rather put the money into food and drink.

Atlantis--Riverhead
Majsetic Gardens--Very nice
East Wind-- Loved it!! Had ours there
Gurney's --Montauk, heard great things
Crows nest--no nothing about
There is another one in West Hampton, but I can't remember the name of it. Sorry!! Good luck in your search for the perfect place!!

I look at Gurney's when I was hunting for a place because i heard it was amazing. Anyway, I was a little disappointed with the place. My expectations were so high because of recommendations but the place seemed a little run down. I'm sure a wedding there is amazing but for the price they charge, you think they would maintain it a little better.

Thanks for all the suggestions...I had never heard of East Wind.
HB, your wedding is beautiful, I was scared off of Inn spot, because of bad review I read on the internet.

I agree.
It's not a hotel but Georgio's is gorgeous! I personally haven't enjoyed the food at East Wind in the past... but others have liked it. Montalk Yacht is nice from the outside.. i didn't go in...good luck!

ohh...there was a idiot who emailed me (on 9-11 of all days before my wedding) saying not to get married there! i think it's the same person who claimed their sis or friend got married there and plastered the internet with bad reviews...i spoke to the owners & it turned out to be a pissed off guest...who STOLE my STD magnet from there...that's how they got my private e-mail address...among other things they did...so don't beleive everything you read...they've gotten good write ups in many reputable newspapers...and the food at their restaurant has always been great!
