...and the sun is shining in Georgia

...no, DH isnt home. But its Day 10 and I'm doing okay. I just wanted to post a little update.

I havent heard anything...no letters, no news at all. But things have been getting a little easier each day. I started keeping a journal on the computer. It helps me to vent and hopefully it'll be something I can look back on later.

I've been getting a lot closer with another wife here whose hubby is also at Ranger School. We talk every single night and its been helping us both to cope with this. Last night we went out for coffee and then back to my apartment for a glass of wine. Today we hit the pool together and grabbed some Mexican food for dinner. Then we planned to go out this weekend downtown to one of the bars that we always go to with our DH's--we need a good night out! Its been SO nice to connect with another wife who is going through the same thing. And best of all....she'll be moving to NC with us when we move this summer.

I still have a rough time...in the mornings and at night sometimes. Some days are still hard...but overall, I'm dealing a lot better than I was a week ago.

Chris has an 8-hour break on May 23rd. I'm supposed to pick him up and bring him home for 8 hours and then he leaves again for the last month and a half. I'm really looking forward to it and its nice to be able to say "im 10 days in and just 1 week and 2 days before I get to see him for that 8 hour!!!!"

Thanks to everyone for the continued support. And to the ladies who have FMed me....it means so much -- sometimes when I'm having a real rough day, just reading an FM like those can really make my whole day

so glad youre doing well! its awesome that you have a friend who understands. just some , hang in there, and enjoy seeing DH soon!!

Yippie! So glad to hear this update. I will keep my fingers crossed that you hear from him soon and that you continue to stay the extreamly strong woman we know you are

I am glad your doing good. It is also good you have someone who knows what your going through and passing the time with them. Hope your 1 week goes fast and so that you can see your hubby. Remember too we are all here for you too.
