Ooh, I didn't even think of Legal Seafood. We used to be there so much they knew us. They're definitely better than Red Lobster.
We've always taken out, but I think Jordan's has a little patio with tables. But, I think Jess said it, you can have them clean and prepare the lobster for take out.

Im sorry but IMO, sorry to those who do eat there....its a place I will never eat at. I rarely ever do chain resturaunts inless someone makes me go! Try captain bills, carriage house has lobster night....My dh just picks them up at the store and makes them himself! Yum

 I went and sent back food. A couple of times.
Honestly girls I am spolied, I grew up on seafoood b/c my Uncle is a fisherman and owned a store in the Hamptons for years and years and also filets all the fish you get when you purchase it from the fish store.
I don't want to scare you girls but .. um.. yah ask me about 'FRANKENLOBSTERS' it is a term my Uncle uses frequently.

Hi Jen! Oh, I can certainly understand then why you would be picky! You can't get any better than that then. At least you could trust that your uncle cleaned the fish really well. And, I'm sure he would give you nothing but the best. OMG, I'm afraid to even ask...I can just imagine. I'd probably never be able to eat seafood again.

Ok I am not sure If I should expose the FrankenLosbter.. maybe that should be a separate thread?
You girls can all FM me if you really want to know what goes on behind closed doors. If you don't want to know I totally understand. If your not getting sick I wouldn't worry about it Just enjoy..

Wow, that bad, huh?? I'm really not surprised. 
I had a bad experience at another restaurant. I won't mention the name, but it's a nice place. I started to cut the lobster tail and all of a sudden I felt like I smelled amonia. I had my FH check because I thought I was going crazy. He called the waiter over and sent it back. The manager came over and apologized profusely and said that every once in awhile it happens. I have NEVER noticed that before. I don't remember the explanation he gave...something to do with a high iodine level in the lobster??? Does that make sense to you. It really turned me off. Ever since then I'm more picky about where I order it.
ETA: By time we're finished you think Gina is still going to be craving lobster?

no really not that bad most of the Lobster you get is Frozen anyway. However a FrankenLobster is when they have left over parts from another Lobster and stick in into the sockets. For instance if you order just the tail or the claws what you do you expect them to do with the rest of the lobster??? To expensive to throw out So they compromise and pretend it one whole Lobster. I mean how would you know? The thing is.. you don't know how old that one part is?
Or.. the other senerio is that they want to save a buck and they tell you it is a certain pound you pick it out from the tank and pay for it but they switch it with parts when they cook it you. Are you really going to weigh it after it is on the plate? It is a little trick I just exposed about all restaurants ladies. sorry Things could be worse.

I would suggest a place called Randazzo's in Sheepshead Bay (Brooklyn). They have amazing food, DH and I LOVE IT.
