WHERE CAN I GET BEDROOM FURNITURE!!!!
 We don't want to spend alot but we want something halfway decent. We already have a queen mattress. We've been everywhere and I'm ready to seriously sleep on the floor and throw my clothes in a pile!
I STILL HAVENT UNPACKED FROM THE HM!!!!

We just got our dining room set from Bobs (there is one in Freeport and 1 in Farmingdale on 110)
I think they are reasonably priced and they have very nice stuff.

We wanted something with simple lines and good quality.
We went to the store on Rte 110.

YEa we went to Bob's and saw a set we liked, but my friggin DH is a Libra and he takes a million years to make decisions! I was jsut wondering if there were any diff places. We're most likely gonna end up w/ Bobs! THANKS LADIES!!!

I wish I was that ambitious! Honestly- they're still pretty reasonably priced. I think the set we were looking at is $1k...you can't really beat that. Its a 6 pc queen set

I know it's *pricey* but Thomasville has some incredible deals every now & then.
I got all my living room furniture for a discount and 36 months no interest financing.
I just finished paying it all off but it came out to about 75.00 a month...
You can't beat thomasville quality... it will last you a LIFETIME...

The problem is that we are currently living in a small 1 bedroom apt. I don't really want to invest in anything right now because with God's grace we'll be moving into a home within a year...we jsut need something "good enough" for now that is small enough and has decent storage

we got ours at Tiffany furniture on 110 in farmingdale... dont let the name fool you.. we almost didnt go in there because we thought it was too pricey..but we were so happy with the prices and the furniture.. we bought our whole set there!! LOVE IT!!

Since you are only looking for "good enough" for right now i would go get something really cheap and not get the 5 piece set just yet. You don't know what kind of home you will buy and what size the rooms will be. You could end up like me and have 3 pieces in 1 room and 2 in another since it all does not fit in one room . Plus the furniture got banged up a bit moving it from apartment to house and then moving it around the house to paint around it and stuff.
I saw really inexpensive bed frames in Gothic Furniture alco check out Big Lots and National Liquidators.

I got my set 6 pcs for $1500 at a place on Oceanside road called FFO. They have a nice selection too!
Another idea: since its for right now not forever, why not go on craig's list? I've gotten great items from there for bargain prices!

I don't recommend Raymour and Flanagan at all-long story short they tried to rip DH and I off and do a bait and switch on a bedroom set we wanted- so we cancelled our order with them immediately and went to Ethan Allen in Lynbrook.
Also before you go anywhere check out the company's complaints on the internet- quite a few places have lots of complaints. Raymour and Flanagan have at least 10 complaints listed per day!
Bob's is a good place as well- we looked there but decided we liked the set from Ethan Allen more even though it was more $$- in the long run though it's going to last us a long time.
I also heard good things about "The Place" and Ashley's as well- we ordered chairs from Ashley and they're great - we plan on getting a couch from them as well in the near future too,
Edit: Here are pics of what our set looks like off the Ethan Allen site- we got the darker finish though. We also got the same mirror in the photo with the dresser too.

We got our set from a small furniture place (it has since relocated but I don't know where) I think those type places or Bob's is your best bet. Furniture can be so expensive!!!
