HUGE Pet peeve of mine...
When I answer the phone for one of the people I assist and I say "they are on another call, may i take a message?" and they say When will they be off the call?" Ummmmmmmmm helllloooooooooooooo they dont tell me how long every phone call will last. And Im sure they dont even know themselves!!!  I think its a rude question.

I feel your pain! I get that all the time too. You want to smack them especially when they try to be slick and call on another line thinking I won't answer..yes sorry, all 60 lines are manned by ME!

LOL!!! Where I worked before we had 25 lines and i'd cover the reception area a lot and people would always try to do this. I hate people sometimes!!

I get that at work alot too! It is extremely annoying!!! My fav is when you say they are in a meeting and they ask when its going to be over  as if I actually ask....or when you pick up and they say "who is this" ...UM you called me!!!!
