1st time home buyers....

did any of you girls use any of the govnt or state grants?? how did you apply and what did you have to do? i know the state ones will be diff for me since i am in FL but the govnt ones will be good

I tried but there are VERY strict guidlines that you have to fit into in order to qulify. And there also limit it to certain areas that you can buy your home in. And they were not any areas that I wanted to live in, mostly towns with bad reputations. HTH

Ditto - I had the same experience. There were sooo many limitations, and it just didn't seem worth it for us.

Sorry, I only know about Suffolk County here on LI. I learned a lot from the county's website - check out your local one to try and learn more.

we didnt even bother...to get the 1st time homebuyers programs we had to show a VERY little amount of income so it didnt work for us.
