photo montage at RH- are you having one??? (w/poll)
Hi ladies! I've been hearing a lot about photo montages at weddings lately and I was wondering how popular they are??? Are you having one and if you don't mind...how much did you spend??

Do you mean with your baby pics and pics of Fh and you?
im editing my post because if thats what your talking about then no im not having one. DJ was charging too much. They are throwing in live shots from the wedding to put on the plasma screens.

2010 crasher here.....
I've seen them at every wedding i've been to. Everyone loves them. Its up to you. How much are they charging you for it? Also if cost is an issue you can buy a program and make one yourself theyre super easy. I actully made one today for my friends birthday it came out amazing. FH me if you want more info

I've seen this done 2 ways...
1 - Pics that you provide before the wedding
2 - The DJ/Band snap pics throughout the night and upload them into the monitor.
I think it is a really cute idea but we aren't doing either.

FH and I decided not to have it.....
we have been to alot that have them and alot that dont
sometimes they are a distraction because you have so many pictures that you end up standing there for half and hour or so and other times they are shorter and not too distracting....
up to you
i think it could easily be a DIY project if you wanted it

Me too... i made our baby photo one in iMovie and I also made one to play during father/daughter and mother/son dances as a lil surprise. They were fun to make and came out great.... I enjoyed doing it myself, made it real personal so maybe thats something you wanna consider

our dj is doing this for us. i have to give them about 40 pictures of FH and I when we were babies, growing up, dating and a few family shots. they are also taking pictures throughout the ceremony, CH and reception that will be playing during the reception. I also get a disc of all the pictures to keep. i can't remember how much it was, b/c it included taking the pictures and the plasma tvs, but it wasn't that cheap.

i'm making my own on windows movie maker 2.6...i had the later version but because i switched to vista it wouldn't open! some glitch w/ the program and vista...it stinks because i can't add any video which i wanted to do, just pictures...i think the program is on most windows computers and it's pretty easy to use...you just import pics and drag and drop them...you can add music too

my uncle does this and did ours for our wedding. I think its around $300-400 depending on what you want. I brought ours to the DJ today and they asked me if he wanted a job. Let me know if you are interested. Mention LIW and he may give you deal. I am going to try to post it for you to see.

at the end of the video it will give you the program info. It was so easy to use and so much fun to make. Let me know what you think. I love the idea of having one play during the father/daughter Mother/son dances I think I might have to borrow your idea.
I've made quite a few of these and if anyone is interested in having one made FH me for more info. I do them for really cheap I guarantee you can't get it for cheaper.

We are having one... We picked 25 baby pics each, 20 together pics and our photographer is giving them a disc with all our ceremony pics on it to play that too for people who missed the ceremony... I just went to one of my BM's engagement party and her mom made her one and I loved it!

we wanted to have it but it just doesn't fit into the budget. There are other things that we were not willing to give up to have so. But i think its agreat addition if you can afford it

my dj is doing and infact what i am doing right now exactly. I wasnt going to do baby pics, and ive had the pics of fh and i in a folder for months so i was good to go. But fh said he wants baby pics so i have to scan his baby pics now and put them on the disc and drop them off to the dj tomorrow

I had one with baby pics of DH and I and us together. Also the DJ snapped photos of guests all night and put them up on the plasma screens. It is such a nice touch. It makes everyone feel involved in your day. I got so many compliments on it. I strongly recommend doing it!

yes, we're doing the photo montage as well as live feed on 2 plasma screens - it's included in our DJ package through FM entertainment. I don't remember how much the package is though....i want to say $2400?
