cruises include ALLLLL your food....and they love to feed you...they have buffets all day from 6am on...sometime sthey do midnight buffets also. they also do sit down dinners and breakfasts as well as special parties like sail away parties, pool parties, party under the stars where they have more food.
you hav eto pay for all your drinks..that inlcudes all alcohol and soda as well as bottled water etc.
they usually give you for free...OJ, Apple Juice and lemonade.
anything you want to do on the islands (excursions) you have to pay for. they can range from $25-over $300 depending what you pick.
Carnival is pretty cheap....last year i paid about 7 or 800 and that included airfare and we went to san juan, st. thomas, dominica, barbados, st. lucia and antigua.
we did royal caribbean this time and they tend to be more expensive...we paid about 930pp for everything but we also booked a year in advance..the earlier the better.

looks like you guys had a lot of fun! I can't wait to get a vacation. I have a feeling I'll be waiting until next year. We have a summer house in fire island that were staying at for the week after 4th of july so thats my vacation its alot of fun. I went on a cruise in Dec. I went on Norwegian Dawn it was amazing i'd do it again in a heart beat.

it Skkkkkkkkkkkked soo bad (ncl spirit) food was average at best, noooooo entertainment by the pool.
i ended up buyign a rubber ducky in san juan and every1 played with is for about 3 hrs in the pool,tossing it around and stuff.i wrote them a pretttty nasty email. im disappoiinted!
im going to try royal carribean in november. how was ur cruise? did they entertain u ?

yea they had tons of things on deck and at night. they did stuff at the pool like mr. sexy legs contest, ms. bicep, belly flop contest, balloon toss, they did sail away parties with dancing, dodgeball contests, basketball games. at night they had all sorts of shows...ice skating shows, vegas type show, love and marriage game, a scavenger hunt with like 89 people on a team..lots of fun things, comedians, singers

Wow that water in Aruba is AMAZING!! Looks like you guys had a ton of fun!!!
We went on a cruise the summer before last (when FH proposed) and I swear it was the best vacation EVER!!!!

ur so lucky, we didnt have anyyyyy entertainment other than the 3 min belly flopping ocntest. it was soo lame. i wrote ncl a letter. they lost 2 great customers. ( we cruise every 6 months) so yepppp on the Royal.
what ship did u go on?

we went on adventure of the seas. this was my second time with royal. my other two times were with carnival, they have some entertainment but they dont have things "built into" the ship..like mini golf, rock climbing wall, ice skating..etc. but they def are cheaper than royal. my parents are very loyal to royal caribbean...they love them and have been on so many cruises with them. i find their food quality a little better than carnival

we went on the adventure of the seas in '06 and we loved it! looks like we had a bit diff itinerary but we went to aruba this past summer where we got engaged. it looks like u guys had a great t ime.

im def going with royal. how was the eating arrangements done? do they force u to eat with strangers? or can u get tables for 2?
i dont know if i would like eating with a group of weirdos every nite..what if they are grosss , ya kno? lol or with kids.. last thing we want are scremaing babies at our table

i think you can request a table for 2 and if they have one they give it to you. if not they try to match you with people your own age.
we were put with 2 older couples. one of the couples FH had words with earlier in the day and yes just our luck they were sitting with us at dinner! we were gonna go to the maitr'd after dinner to request a table change and the other 2 couples had already requested it!! so we ended up sitting us (4 people) at a table of 8 which was nice lol

my problem is.. fh is super friendly and ends up taking ppl off the ship.. we still hang out with ppl we met on past cruises.. nice ppl but sometimes its like okkk.. alone time pleaseee
