Office: Career Center Department: Career Center Full-Time or Part-Time: Full-Time Description: The Assistant Director for Employer Relations will join a team of professionals delivering career and employment services to all Hofstra undergraduate students, students in a wide array of graduate programs, and alumni. Reporting to the Executive Director of The Career Center, the Assistant Director for Employer Relations will work collaboratively with the Recruiting Coordinator and Executive Director on recruiting programs for Hofstra Students. This position will develop, coordinate, and execute a marketing outreach plan resulting in a diverse range of internship and job opportunities for Hofstra students.
The Assistant Director for Employer Relations will oversee the University's on-campus recruiting program (PRIDE Recruiting) and serve as the main contact for employers. The Assistant Director for Employer Relations will oversee all employer involvement in The Career Center and logistics related from job/internship postings, career fairs, information sessions and on-campus recruiting.
As an important member of a team of professionals, the Assistant Director for Employer Relations will also participate in career development-related work: counseling students and alumni, planning and delivering of marketing and outreach activities, workshops and other educational programs, special events, conception and production of related publications and a wide a variety of career development projects. The successful candidate will build a strong cooperative relationship with students and faculty in the Frank G. Zarb School of Business.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree and experience working in a Career Center preferred. High level of customer service is essential as well as the ability to multitask and initiate/implement programming ideas. The Assistant Director for Employer Relations must enjoy highly detailed work, and be able to work well with managing multiple deadlines. S/he must have advanced proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point, and the Internet as well as on-line career resources and database such as Symplicity.
