What do you wear to a rehearsal dinner as a guest?
I've actually never been to a rehearsal dinner (and I didn't have one for my wedding). But my cousin is getting married this weekend and the groom's parents are hosting at what looks like a nice restaurant. She told us it's casual, but no jeans.
If I wear a casual summer dress, would that be okay, or would it be too fancy (I no longer fit into any of my slacks  )

I think a casual dress is fine. I have worn anything from dress pants and button down to a cute dress for a rehearsal dinner.

You could wear a casual dress, ive done that before. Last time i went which was a few months ago, i wore a pinstripe pencil skirt with this beige sort of dressy top and heels.

I wore nice pants and a blouse to FSIL's last year and was dressed the same as everyone else. HTH.

Last RD I went to I wore a Diane V wrap dress. Cotton, eyelet... All the girls wore cute sundresses. (we were in california)

ive only been to one. i wore a dressy skirt and top with heels. but i think i was the dressiest one there.
