Re: cocktail hour

i am still not sure yet, honestly i dont think i'll know until the day of. I guess we'll see how long pictures take and see if we make it in time for the CH. Never know with traffic so i wont hope for anything in case it doesn't happen. A small part of me doesn't want to attend CH, its stupid i know but then another part of me says don't be stupid you would be able to thank alot of ppl for coming and get that out of the way if you attend CH

yeah its hard, i mean i dont want to say i have to be there and then theres traffic or a hold up or pictures can just run longer and then get all annoyed that i didnt make it. So whatever happens that day happens. It would be great to get many of the hello's out of the way although with some ppl that will be there they would still expect us to go to them when we're going around the tables regardless if we said hello at CH or not, like if there was somebody at CH i didnt say hello to and theyre sitting right by somebody we did say hello to, i dont think we'll just walk by them and not say anything. So either or ill be happy with hahaha

Re: cocktail hour

We had made our ceremony an hour earlier so that we can attend the CH, we both felt it was important for us to be there, we want to spend as much time with our family and friends as we can, plus the food is great!!!
I want all my pics done before hopefully, if I have to leave for a few minutes it wont be so bad. But I want to enjoy the whole time, we have spent enough, I want to enjoy it!

Re: cocktail hour

We did....best decision we made though it was always our plan. I've never heard of a bride that regretted doing it, but I've read many reviews of brides that wish they did after the fact. It's not even about missing the food, you can always get the food brought to you in the bridal suite. For us it was more about seeing, talking to and thanking our guests and just enjoying EVERY MOMENT of our wedding. Got ALOT of the hellos out of the way, because I knew once the reception started I did not want to leave the dance floor and I didn't. Had the best time that way.

Re: cocktail hour

yes!

My reception hall makes a plate of cocktail hour food for us , after the ceremony we can go up to the bridal suite, echange gifts , eat for 10 min, come down and make the rounds so at the reception we can dance !

All my pictures will be done before the ceremony , I don't want to miss a second of my wedding !
