I work in the music business..it's almost a requirement to be on drugs.

I was just kiddin silly. But we don't have drug testing. My old job did, and I don't believe the nurse was tested come to think of it!

all my jobs did a drug test when they wanted to hire you. they would make you an offer pending your drug test. but that was it, one shot.

my dad's job they do random drug testing and they do random drivers license checks.

they do the drivers check because my dad works for Orkin exterminating (he does inspections to restaurants and buildings) and the guys who drive the trucks and do the bug killing are driving with a lot of chemicals and the company wants to make sure that those drivers are safe, careful, responsible drivers.

No drug testing here, not that it would matter at all to me. The last job i had did.. it was weird though they hired me and didnt tell me ANYTHING about it. and on my first day told me to go get it done..i thoght that was a little wierd

Theresa-you're right. I'm a nurse and they don't drug test at my hopsital.

Nope, I work for an entertainment company and if they did, half the employees wouldn't have jobs..lmao

I work in TV and they def don't drug test in this industry!! I think if they did a lot of people would get canned!

Nope. When I worked at the airport, I had to take a drug test when I got the job and they said that they would have random drug testing, but they never did.

Brian just got a job working in JFK. He is a federal employee working for the TSA and they told him they do random drug testing. No problem for him, but it was something they told the TSA ppl that they do and if this was a problem to leave now this way they dont find out later and you can be in a lot of trouble.

Melissa: They told me that too, but they never did it. I wasn't a federal employee though, I worked for an airline. And this was years ago. I worked there from 1995-1998. So they may be more strict now.

Well I have been drug tested for all kinds of stuff. But I am not randomly tested. As far as nurses goes and any other medical personell--you can clarify this with DaniRn---if something seems odd about you on the job and the UNION allows it, you can be asked to submit to a drug test. Most hospital personell have to have annual physicals but, the employees have to disclose any drug use--narcs are not allowed.

Are you a nurse??Or did you have a nurse tend to you that seemed like they were on drugs??

We have drug testing as part of the initial physical they have us take, and any time you have a promotion. It's a manufacturing business and they take safety very seriously. Proud to say we're an OSHA Star site - one of only a few privately owned companies I think.

marcela i think they may be a little more stricter now. they are in charge of the publics safety and i guess they need everyone to be clean and sobar and alert god for bid an emergency happens.

FI will be in the back, behind the scenes doing luggage search. I think they should definatly do randam drug tests on all airport personal federal or not

No testing here. When I used to work at Lilco, they did random testing.

None here, but I do have a friend who is an EMS, and they do the random testing

I was tested when I got my job...but its against my contract to have random drug tests...

My father worked for the post office and he would walk into work and be told to pee...totally random...


but this idea bothers me...I really think it violates the 4th Amendment
