Part-time Job for Wedding

Ok, I need som help; has anyone gotten a part-time job to help with the wedding expenses? I am in the mist of looking for a part-time job and I don't wanna overload myself. I was just wondering if anyone else has done this. Thanks.....

Re: Part-time Job for Wedding

I'm thinking about it...
I'd probably regret it though bc I don't have much free time as it is.

Re: Part-time Job for Wedding

I have a 2nd job waitressing, and have paid for the whole wedding on that job! Unfortunately I am working 5 days a week there, and killing myself, but there is no other way I could have afforded a wedding. GL!

Re: Part-time Job for Wedding

I picked up a waitressing job, I work on Saturday nights now and i will start doing every other Sunday starting this summer, it is a very busy place so that money I make actually becomes our money for the week so we don't touch the money in the bank, it has def. helped and in the summer i will take that money and put it away for my hair and make up and the small things I need to get done.

Re: Part-time Job for Wedding

I am not sure what you do full time, but many friends of mine who are teachers do tutoring on the side (all ages, all subjects). You can fit it into your schedule and pay is usually in cash! I have also had friends who have gotten bartending jobs.

Re: Part-time Job for Wedding

I have my regular fulltime job. I was thinking about waitressing but I have not done it since I was 19. Any good restaurants anyone can recommend. That was my favorite job when I was a kid, I had a blast going to work everyday.

I'm considering doing something for the summer when school is out. We'll see, though, because I'll be starting a new job too, so I don't want to overwhelm myself.

Re: Part-time Job for Wedding

Yes, for awhile I waitressed. But- my FIL passed away then my grandfather passed away after being in the hospital for a few months, so working full time, hospital visits, funerals, and still trying to plan a wedding got to be too much with the extra job.

I put an ad on craigslist and wrote papers for a few college students for some extra cash and did some in-store demonstrations for extra cash, and babysat. These things were all better because I could pick and choose when I could/wanted to work.

some people so Avon, Mary K, or Tupperware or something to make some extra cash. I am not sure what they pay but you can always look into that.

I've been tutoring after school like a mad-woman. I am also thinking about possibly picking up a second job at the pet store. I just don't know if I can do it all!
