Its not really a traditional mantilla b/c it doesnt have the lace at the top, but its mantilla style. I love it! I have a cathedral length w/the same trim also!

No. I should have. I actually got my veil at my bridal salon, and it is $$$$$ and I"ms ure I could hvae gotten a similar one for $100 if I didnt jump the gun. But oh well, I love it. Lesson learned.
OMG!! in manhasset?? that's where i first looked for dresses, and tried on a mantilla veil that was gorgeous  but as you said, crazy $$$, like $1k... but it was still beautiful. [sigh]

No, I got it at Bridal Suite of Bayshore. OMG, $800 for the friggin veil! Almost as much as my dress. Insane, I know, but weddings make us all lose sense of reality a little bit.

they really do. but it's okay as long as it's within reason... like on that day, you know you'll LOVE your veil and it'll be worth it. that's how I feel about - there should definitely be at least one big splurge.
