I have always wanted a spring wedding.... I hate the heat plus FH's family wanted to have a party for us in Israel summer of 09. So our wedding had to be before summer 09. We were originally going with 3/29/09 because it was cheaper than April but I wanted to have tulips at the Swan Club... So I changed it to April.... Now in April I couldn't have my wedding around Passover or Easter so it was either April 18 or April 26.... so April 26 it was....

I really wanted a spring wedding so we agreed on May. I picked the 25th because I originally wanted a sunday afternoon since it's cheaper but I was able to get the holiday for a better price.

I wanted the summer because I am a teacher and it is the weekend that we met.

Originally fh and I wanted to get married on May 9, 2009...(we wanted to get married on a 9---its our number) but I found out that my cousin is making communion that day, so that was out and I felt that I would be rushed ...so being that we got engaged for Christmas, I suggested that we have a Christmas themed wedding in December. We were looking at early December, and then we saw that Januay 9th fell on a Sat...and the hall had it open and both of us really liked the idea of a winter wedding...I like the way that it sounds too... 1-9-10

we wanted to get married a year after my sister and we also wanted his family to be able to come from croatia (they own a bed and breakfast there and cant come during their busy months )

We both agreed that we wanted a Fall or Winter wedding. We aso didn't want to wait a long time to get married....a year tops. He proposed 1/11/08 and we decided to go with the weekend after Christmas. We love that time of the year and the prices were great for an Sat. evening on that weekend.

We wanted it during the nice weather but May was already taken cause my friend is getting married and I am a BM. Then we though August cause we thought there would be a price difference and then when we went to out RH he suggested Jul 5 '09 since it was within our budget so we said Hoorah 4th of July weekend and Bday celebration for me!!!!

We were deciding between January 09 and October 09.

I wanted Jan. 31 because our anniversary in 2.1, but I want a full church mass, which you can't do on Sundays, so we figured Jan. 31 rolls into 2.1.

But ultimately we decided on a fall wedding because we were worried about snow, and we also needed more time to save. The date is of no significance. A close friend of our is getting married on 10.03.09, so I wanted to space mine from hers by a few weeks, and we picked the 24th.

Now 10*24*09 is the date!!!

We have a ton of out of town guests and thought it would ideal to have the wedding on a holiday weekend. Our wedding is Columbus Day weekend. It just made sense to us. I always wanted a fall wedding so it worked.

We picked ours by accident.

Originally we wanted 8/15/09 because we had our first date on 8/13/05 and that was the closest weekend, but it didn't work out with the church.

So we asked the priest for the first open weekend in September since we both like that month.

It was until after we finished all the paperwork that we realized the date would also be the two-year anniversary of the date I was diagnosed with cancer. We decided it was God's way of making sure the cancer would be nothing but a bad memory.

We picked our wedding date (9/12/09) because it will be our 9 year anniversary. We always said we wanted to get married on 9/12 and it was perfect that it falls on a Saturday in 2009!

we picked ours beause I'm a teacher and can basically only get married in the summer and mid-summer is his slower season of work....plus we wanna do Europe for our honeymoon when it is hot there. Otherwise I would have loved to been a late-fall/early winter bride.
