Review of Wedding Atelier

I had my first-ever wedding dress appointment recently, so I choose Wedding Atelier in order to see a selection of gowns by different designers. The person assigned to me was not entirely knowledgeable about some religious things about our wedding (I am sure I am not the first bride getting married in a temple!) but I didn't need to have sleeves on my dress or anything and luckily I did my own research in advance. So I showed her several photos from magazines of things I wanted, and lo and behold, she immediately started to pull very similar items right around my budget! She also let me look at some rows of items she thought I might like to consider that were in my budget. She even found the exact dress from one of the pictures that was just right outside my budget, so I decided to try it on since I had loved the magazine photo so much. This turned out to be my dress! For fun, she let me try on two really full A-line dresses (what I call "marshmallow dresses because I am very petite and those types of dresses just swamp me!) and another pretty dress that I liked from the store display that was double my budget (in case I liked something in that style, so she could try to find me cheaper options). But I really loved that second dress I tried on (out of 4 great possibilities that she pulled for me). My mom lives out of state, so I wanted her to see the dress before I actually bought anything, seeing as this was the first place I even looked at for dresses! They found me an appointment for later this week when she will be visiting, and were very helpful in making sure my mom would be able to see the dress first and there was no pressure to buy anything. The bride in the fitting room next to me left without buying anything, and she said she was thinking of which dress between 2 to get.

The space is very light/airy and pretty. Small, but a very nice selection. I think only 3 fitting rooms, so appointments must definitely be needed. I had a low budget, but there were plently of options (my budget was below what the average bride spends in the store) and my options still had nice details like lace and beads.

great review! do they let you take pictures of the dresses?

No pictures - but they told me the designer and style so I could find any picture I wanted online. I am sure once I buy it I could take a picture or two!
