The Official, "I'm fed up with looking for a MOB dress" !!!!!!

So, went with Debi to mega huge gargantuan, walk 'til your legs hurt, King of Prussia Mall, here in Pa. tonight. Deb had to pick up her wedding shoes; Hope these fit!!! She suggested we look for what was available in MOB Gowns. Ok, so next we got pulled over for a $250 curling/straightening iron, which Debi told the guy, " Can't, have to pay my rent!!" Finally got out of there, and got pulled over to chat about skin creams!! Ok, I did get a teeny sample; Thanks, but we really gotta go look for MOB Gowns. Deb stopped at Vicky's Secret to see if they had any Wedding Day underwear. Are we going to look at MOB Gowns yet?????? Ok, we checked, Macys, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Lord and Taylor, and Penneys. Nada, zip, zero, nothing!!!!!!!!

Mary, please don't get discouraged because you will find a gown. I still think you need to go to a bridal store that has bridal, BM's and MOB/MOG gowns. That is where you will find something you love.

Another problem looking for a dress now is that it is prom time and all they seem to have is slinky, black long dresses for 17 year olds! Hopefully in a few months, they will have a different type of selection.

That's right it is getting close to prom time and that's why you need a specialty bridal store that has MOB dresses too.

Ok....I know I am suppposed to feel bad about your failure to find "the dress", however, you make even a frustrating situation funny!!! You shoud write for a magazine!!!!!!!!!
I know there is a great dress out there waiting for you...I agree with the other moms...you need a mother of the bride store. I wish you could come to Long Island one weekend with Debbie. It probably would be easier than going all over the King of Prussia mall! Most of the dresses at the "bridal" stores are probably aimed toward brides and bridesmaids....you need the step above....made for us moms...people with curves.
Alot of the stores here have so much to choose from....think about the possibility ...let me know ...I wil give you some places to go where you may even be able to have the ability to buy off the rack!

Kathy, it was suppose to be funny!!! Legs still hurt, and yes, I am frustrated, but it will work out. I am having UTI issues today; My antibiotic isn't working like it should, so I have to get something different tomorrow. Don't want to feel icky for the Flower Show. If you've read any of Debi's posts tonight, she's feeling really stressed right now. The shower invitation kept jamming in my printer, perhaps because of the embossing, so Debi and I took them to Office Max to print them.
Then we went to Linens N Things, to update Debi's Registry, but my blood sugar was low, so we went to eat, and didn't finish the update. After bringing Debi back for her car, I went to get groceries. And here I am. Thanks for the support, ladies!!! Mary

Hi Mary, Printer jamming is the number 1 reason why I ordered invites on line and had them printed and delivered to me. It was worth it.

I know that store...are you sure they sell retail or are they just wholesale?
If you do come into the city then you can also check out RK Bridal on W. 39th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues.

A gal from Office Max just called. Evidently, my CD, with the invitation wording wouldn't come up for them, but it did here, on my computer. So, she guided me on how to send it to her, and voila!!!! she got it!!!!!!!! We were told yesterday that the embossed starfish and coral most likely after printing would be flat; Oh me!!! Mary MOB
