Just Started Planning My Wedding......I got a Photographer!!!!!!!
Hi all....I'm new to this site and still getting the hang of it. Thanks to all for your suggestions. I booked my photo/video with the photo video network. Got their info off of the Knot and a person at work. They were really afforadable and they even came to my house to show me their work. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm using Duet for photography. They are very reasonable and I know friends who used them. 
I don't know about DJS at all and I haven't had any hair trials. I do know an expensive salon that I have been to as a bridesmaid, NuBest in Manhasset. I loved what they did but it was pretty pricey in my opinion. Then again I haven't been to any other places to get my hair done for occasions.

Photo/video - Thomas Paul (tom is the greatest and will work with you and your price range)
Flowers- Pedestals (ask for vito he's terrific an once again willing tow ork with you in your price range)

Welcome and congrats! I'm using Duet for photo/video and Flower Michele for flowers. I haven't booked the wedding dj yet but I'm having FM Entertainment for my eparty in a few weeks.

Burton for flowers
DJ I am not to sure at the moment
and I am going to have a trial a Tcarlton (next to watermill for my hair and makeup)
You should go to next week bridal showcase at Watermill you can see the vendors that they recommend, I am going to be there as well

DJ company -- Bravura Entertainment (they are absolutely incredible!)
Photo - 12th Night Photography -- they are great to work with and do beautiful work!
Video -- Mittermax -- they are incredible as well.

First off, Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the addiction here! lolz
As far as photographers and DJs I think the girls pretty much covered the most popular ones on this site. When it comes to photography, especially, I think it all comes down to personal preference in what you are looking for so I would suggest going to the Vendor button on here and looking through some webpages to see if any of them offer what you are looking for.

Thank you all so much for the tips....Im looking into FM...I Booked my video and photography through photo video network.....They were recommened on the knot and from a girl I know at work...They had the best prices. I'll keep you all posted and let you know how they are. Thanks again for the advice.
