Hello my pretty ladies! How are you guys doing today? I had such a great night's sleep last night (for the first time in a while) that I woke up feeling really refreshed! The fact that I have to go to work is killing the whole thing

In the beginning of every relationship, there’s always that “spark” between two people – sort of a fire, so-to-speak, that both individuals think could never burn out. After years together, however, life can start to “even things out”. Work, school, different schedules, family, friends – there are a lot of reasons why that initial fire starts to die out and the relationship becomes two people living out their day-to-day responsibilities and coming together whenever they can. How do you and FH keep that “spark” alive, or that fire burning? Setting aside special time for one another? Maybe FH brings home flowers once a month or writes sweet notes? What keeps you two going strong?

It's not hard for us... we get a lot of quality time together. Recently, FH and I have been trying to save money. We used to go out a lot – dinner, drinks, shows, concerts, movies – you name it, we did it. These days, we’re much more grounded - we eat dinner at home (for the most part), watch movies, relax at night. He works much longer hours than me. Lately, we’ve been setting aside one night a week to go out on a “date”. It might be dinner and a movie, maybe some drinks. But it really lifts us up out of the normal grind and brings us back to that place where nothing else mattered except each other

i like to plan a date nite once a month and do something simple..go to dinner or rent a movie from blockbuster and just have a quiet evening together...fh likes to surprise me every so often if its stopping by my job un expexted or bring me flowers at my house....its sweet ....i like how its a joint effort and that i dont have to ask him to do ne thing..he does it on his own

We don't get a lot of quality time together lately because he is working his full time job and subbing.. and my schedule is a bit nuts too..... so we try to make sure that we set aside "date nights" where it's just us...... and we can have a little romance. and feel like we are back in the beginning...
Actually one thing we do which is kinda cute.. is he takes me to this deserted corner... (where we first made out) and we go there and kiss.. like it's the beginning all over again!

I have to say... FH has been so romanic, he leaves notes and sets my bathe and plans surprise weekend get aways. It def. helps to keep the spark.
oh yeah once in a while we get all dressed up and go to a romantic rest. for date night

How do you and FH keep that “spark” alive, or that fire burning? By spending tons of quality time- which we do a lot.

Setting aside special time for one another? We usually go out for dinner twice a month or so.

Maybe FH brings home flowers once a month or writes sweet notes? Pat is not one to write notes but he once in a while does the flower thing or surprises me with my favorite food, coffee- I know it's little things but that's what counts!

What keeps you two going strong? Just us spending tons of time together in general.

We have date night once a month. We alternate whose turn it is and every month we come up with something special, get dressed up and just... have a nice date!!!

neither of us have ever been crazy romantic from the begining, but we enjoy going out to dinner or just going out and getting a few drinks together...our favorit thing to do is when we go out with our friends is flirt with each other at the bar, like we just met and are trying to pick the other one up... but the best part is.. I get to get some at the end of the night.. its a sure thing!!!

One thing we do that I really love is that if we are out shopping, either together or not, we always buy stupid little things that remind us of each other. Like I'll be at the grocery store and will get him a pez dispenser if the character on it reminds me of him. Or he will bring me some little thing from the store where he buys coffee in the morning. Its nothing spectaculat but its nice because you realize that the other one is always thinking of you!

We are pretty much the same way we were when we first started dating. We still go out to dinner everynight. We still go to movies, bowling, karaoke, ice skating, out for ice cream, we buy each other small "reminder" presents all the time. He still sends me "I love you" txts in the middle of the day. He sometimes does it when we are next to each other and I think he is txting one of his friends and then my phone will beep and its him saying "I love you".

Eventhough we live together we sometimes have conflicting schedules. But on the nights that we can be together we like to sit back and watch our shows together. We have both gotten each other into shows that we individually liked so now we can spend time together.

We haven't really done anything special yet...but I think communication is a huge factor...we communicate very well and our senses of humor match perfectly, so I think that's why we still have that flame going rite now...

good question! i recently came across some instant messages that i had saved from the beginning of our relationship. they were soo cute! haha we're not exactly like that anymore (constant flirting) but we do our best to keep the magic alive.

we are lucky enough to spend a lot of time together now that we live together, but we still e-mail each other and he calls me during his lunch break everyday. we also try to do a date night, whether its a hockey game, concert, a boat trip, dinner, or the movies.

FH and i talk and joke A LOT. i also think the little sweet things we do for each other on a daily basis makes us both feel really loved, so that helps keep the spark alive. we're also pretty physically affectionate, which has always been important to me.

you also have to keep things spicy in the bedroom

We ALWAYS make sure we make time for eachother no matter what! We always kiss goodnite and tell eachother we love eachother.

I just started a new job and its about 7 blocks from my house so he wakes up early every morning and walks me...the past two days it was really cold so he got up extra early and warmed up the car so it would be toasty and I wouldn't have to walk :)

He's also been sending me texts telling me how proud he is that I'm working and doin so well on all my evaluations..etc...

He also sent me emails and msgs on myspace this week lolz..we do silly litlte things all tha time just to show we're thinkin of eachother

This whole wedding planning thing has re-lit the spark I think... He'll call me to ask "how his fiance' is doing" and we are realizing that we work really well together with planning and organizing our ideas- I actually didn't think things could get "better". We try to go on little dates here and there... its cute cuz his brother finally has a GF and we watch them do the beginning of the relationship things and we keep reminiscing.

We do little things for each other to keep the spark going. I try to bake him chocolate chip cookies once in awhile because they are his favorite. My FH will send me messages through out the day that puts a smile on my face. We try to keep the spark strong.
