Las Vegas

Hi girls, sorry I haven't been on lately but it has been a little busy at work and we have been planning a vacation to Las Vegas. We are going from Aug. 1-8, that is seven nights 8 days in Vegas YAY!!!!!! I have been reading a lot of the revues and looking for new restaurants since it has been 6 years since we were last there and there are so many new ones open now. I just can't wait. We will be staying for the second time at the Monte Carlo (yes that is the hotel that just had the fire) it is a reasonable hotel and is the sister hotel to the Bellagio just less expensive. Their renovations from the fire should be all complete by then and anyway they are reopening on Feb. 15th with 1200 rooms and the next week with an additional 1300 rooms available.

Anyone else thinking of going on vacation this year or are you the way I was the past two year and just saving for the wedding?

Lucky you! We've always talked about going to Vegas, but never done it. Maybe one of these days......
We recently purchased a condo in Florida, so most of our vacations have been spent going down there.

Good for you......that sounds great. I think we will probably not go on any big vacations this year maybe just some days in Cape Cod or something. We had taken a 9 day Carribean cruise last summer for our anniversary.
This is the year of the wedding! It is all about that right now! Enjoy....it sounds wonderful.

Just went to florida for a few days, one of those days we spent in Disney. We haven't been on a vacation since before the wedding and will probably go someplace this summer. I am thinking of Washington, Oregon and California. My husbands mom lives in southern CA so since we will be out west we will go visit her as well. It really is in the maybe we should go here stage, but would love to get away. Las Vegas is great now. You wll love it and new places are popping up all the time. Susan

Weddings is the reason we haven't been on vacation for about 4 years now. Our money went to that which was so very nice and exciting too. I just loved planning the weddings, but now that they are over it's time for a vacation.

We have been to Vegas before, but so much has changed there with new hotels and restaurants and shows that it will like being there for the first time again.

Toodles, time to get ready for tomorrow....work again!
