Verdi's....Captian Bills

Captain Bills is a nice place right on the water in Bayshore and there minimum is low. You also may want to try Irish Coffee Pub in East Islip or Papa Joe's in Commack.

Re: Wedding Venue - Please Help

Try the Alger House in lower Manhattan, they can accomodate up to 90 ppl with ceremony on site, a huge beautiful bridal suite all decorated in a French Eclectic Style. The only hold 1 wedding at a time and is very affordable.

Re: Wedding Venue - Please Help

my cousin had her's at the arboretum - i think they hold up to 60 people. it was really very nice and they got to have the ceremony out in the garden. the only thing is they had to get their own liquer license and because of that couldn't have unlimited alcohol. wasn't a big deal for them (they stuck to some nice wines and beer) but if it's important to you it might be something to think about.

Re: Wedding Venue - Please Help

it might be hard to book a reception hall with only 50 people. Most places we spoke too for a Saturday had a minimum of at least 150 for an afternoon reception and 200 for an evening reception. although I think there might have be some places that might be willing to do a Sunday afternoon reception

if its a small wedding, try booking your reception at one of the many great restaurants in NYC!! You can have the ceremony at Central Park or Botantical gardens, and hold a reception at a restaurant.

Re: Wedding Venue - Please Help

From what I remember the Riviera and the Milleridge Cottage had 100/125 person minimum. The Milleridge Carriage House, however, had a much lower minimum. It has a very nice atmosphere and if the weather is nice, the ceremony or CH can be held outside under a tented area. The Milleridge Inn also hosts weddings (their prices/catering is separate from the Cottage/Carriage House).

we used Larkfield Manor and it was wonderful. their smaller room took a guarantee for 60. It's in E. Northport but easy drive on Northern pkwy.
