Wedding Dresses!
I am going for a wedding dress this Saturday! Where should I start looking? I am not looking to spend allot where I only get to wear it once! I'm looking for a pirce range of $1000 and under.
Need Help!!! Plus do I need to a hire a bridal consultant when I go to the bridal place?

Oh yeah? I heard some mixed things about there! My friends tells me they have no private dressing rooms and everyone gets changed in this big room..And hiring a bridal consultant?? Confused!

You can get some maggie sotteros in that price range i think....When i looked i went to bridal reflections in massapequa and they were really good about keeping in my price range. It's a little easier if you can budge a bit cause I know some maggies are $1200...but it's worth a shot!

yess..there is another maggie sottero thread-- but her gowns are definitely affordable!!! and if you like on of her gowns get a price and you can price around places are competitive with her gowns they will beat whatever price you got..go on her website!!

I believe that Nicole Miller has some beautiful gowns for around $1000. Also the latest issue of Bridal Guide had a ton of gowns for under $1000, so maybe check out those designers. Hope this helps!

you should try the small bridal stores in your area they will give you the best deal so that you will due business with them and they will work with your needs and what you want also alterations fees are way cheaper

if you're gonna be in lake grove, you should check out Bridal Suite in Centereach on middle country rd...ive been in there twice to try on dresses and everyone was so nice..in fact, ive decided to buy my dress from there!

I purchased my gown from David's Bridal and my experience was quite the opposite. I went to the one in Queens (Northern BLVD) and it was SUPERB. As for privacy, that was not a problem at all. As a matter of fact, they have a bunch of rooms that are numbered and each person is given their own room. You don't need to hire a bridal consultant...just make an appointment and you will be given a colsultant who will help you out during your stay. I cannot speak for the other David Bridal locations but the one that I went to was nothing short of excellent.

I love my Maggie and I spent 750 for it. It's definately doable to get a beautiful dress for less than 1K.

I got a Marys Bridal dress for around 700, I would recommend trying RK Bridal in the City or Bridal Elegance on Long Island, you can get some good deals there.

Not sure where you live but I would say RK bridal in NYC. My SIL and another close firend bought theirs there for under $1000 yet everyone thought their dresses were in the 3K range!

If you want to stay in LI, go to Lillettes.
They have Maggie Sottero and Casablanca dresses, which are beautiful for under $1000.
Bridal Reflections had my Maggie Sottero gown for more than $200 more than it was at Lillettes.
It is worth the trip to the city to go to RK Bridal, they do have sooo many dresses. I tried on tons of dresses there, many under 1K.
