What actually happens here is it worth the $9 bucks you pay for it? B/c I have heard that these expos aren't so great. I would like to go but I don't want to waste my time.

I think I am done with the bridal expo thing.
I may go to the Tiffany one that Shamma posted but that is it.
I find these expos to be so annoying. The vendors are so pushy and you get tons of junkmail and phone calls galore.
I enjoy getting recommendations from this site.

I personally don't like them either. I think this one is a really huge one and that it will be overcrowded especially since it is in Manhattan. Like I said before I am just going to hear a band play at 8. I think a DJ comes on before them. If any one is interested.

I am going to hear Current Affair. When I spoke with John from CA he mentioned it is the same set-up every year. First some DJ comes out, then him, then there is a fashion show. I don't know if there are any others. Sorry.

Current Affiar is the band that I am having. They are great. I know they also so showcases at Bridgeview Yacht Club. Thats where I am getting married and they are the band that they reccommend.

I went to the one held on LI at the Marriott by Nass. Col. What a waste of 18 bucks! The only vendor I found was worth meeting was a rep. from Sandals.
If you go don't get the pre-printed labels they try to sell you. (They say it saves you time from filling out those info cards). It cost 6.00 and most of the vendors wouldn't accept the labels anyway.
You get much better reccomendations and info from this board than you ever will at a show (IMHO).
