Dont register at Target!!!
Dont register at target. Without a gift receipt, they wont let you return the item. Only if it is under $20, they will. I love target but after this episode I had with them, I prefer other stores....

ya I loooove targett, but they make returning things sooo hard!!! I cant tell you how many times I have seen them arguing with customers trying to return things! Great place to shop- bad place to register!

I heard that when you return things, your credit is only for the department which the item was for. For example, if I got a vacuum from housewares, I would get an exchange for housewares ONLY...so no getting any electronics, clothes, food, etc.
I've heard that it's absolutely AWFUL.

Too late for me. I have to try to return a couple of things there (I registered for 1 and got 2) and I'm not looking forward to it...I've seen other posts about this very thing. Thanks anyway for the heads up. Wish me luck!

I know someone who registered there this past summer and had to return a few things and she said she didn't have a problem (although maybe her items were under $20?). I guess I'll soon find out.

I'm registered at Target. I had to return an item from my registry and had no problem at all. They took it back in the store...no questions asked and gave me a gift card for the full credit.

i returned luggage i got off registry because the wheel cracked off the first time i tried to drag it!!!!
they gave me a store credit.... i had the shipping form though that came with gift sent to me....

looks like you are newish here...i posted about this back in October after my sisters shower...it was a disaster....a few of us deleted our registries and re-registered somewhere else. i went to fortunoffs...sorry you had to go through this!
