They say the first year of marriage is the most difficult....

and if so, then our marriage is going to be FABULOUS!

I know we're only just about halfway through with our first year of marriage, but we've been through a lot already! Recovery from Steve's accident, really living together, moving across the country, new jobs, new apartment... and we're just loving the married life. If this year is supposed to be the roughest, then I feel SO blessed

Anyone else feeling this way???

i feel this way too! we just have so much fun together but i'm not being naive at ALL...i know all marraiges have their battles...so i'm sure somewhere along the way we'll hit a couple bumps...but honestly - as of now (besides money being tight) it has been great! i absolutely LOVE being married

Same here - i guess, knowing him for 7 years also helps a lot.

Well considering we've lived together for almost 6 years aleady...not much has changed due to marriage...haha....so about the only thing sucking our first year of marriage is our finances...other than that we are happy happy happy!

I think that living together first definitely helps...cause i know when we first moved in together it s-ucked!!! hahaha... Certainly wasn't all roses and romance like everyone thinks...hahah...instead you have to learn how to deal with each other's little quirks and tooth paste in the sink all the time!!!

I feel this way too.. while Larry and I don't always agree and have had our share of fights.. we are having way too much of a good time.. We always keep eachother laughing and we enjoy being with eachother!!! If he can put up with my wicked mood swings, we can get thru anything!!!!!

I totally agree.. We lived together for 6 years this past sept and celebrated our 7 year anniversary the day we got married. So afterwards I thought would be a breeze. But in the last 2 months, SO much has changed, and a few times I wanted to come on here and vent.. but DH is very personal about info and if it got back to anyone, I would be in trouble. But we have been going through something that has been probally the hardest thing in our entire relationship. Its almost over (THANK GOD!) but i know we will get through it, and we live happy ever after. Condsidering how bad it's been, and we are pulling through so strong, I know we'll be great!!!

I think whats supposed to eb roughest is the living together for the first time and sharing finances and responsibilites-at elats in traditonal marriages as far as courtships and lot living together beforehand which isnt as common anymore.

We are having our share of the hard times lately. Alot of adjustements despite beign togetehr almost 5 years. But we're doing ok. We love one another so even on crab apple days we manage to say I love you-that what matters.

Same here, its been a piece of cake (though nothing has really changed-we lived together already) but its been fun and normal. I only have about 5 months left!!! This year is flying by

I do too! When people ask how married life is & I tell them that I love it, it makes me smile because I'm 100% telling the truth. I won't say the last 3 months have been perfect, but they have been pretty great. If the rest of our lives go along this path, we'll be just fine.

we have only been married for 1 month.
we lived together for a year beforehand... it feels the same now that we are married.. but now we are soooo looking foward to starting a family!!

nothing's really changed besides my last name...

we already lived together AND are raising a child together.

the wedding was just a formality haha...

but we're doing great... adjusting to living together was harder...
we already knew we were capable of sharing our lives when we got engaged...

Well, we haven't even been married 2 months yet ... but so far the marriage part of things has just made us feel closer and happier and more secure and content in life.

We had already lived together for a few years before getting married, and will celebrate 7 years in March.

Unfortunately though, we're having early experience with that "in sickness" part of the vows ... since returning from the honeymoon, it has been a lot of doctors appointments, physical therapy appointments, and a whole lot of me not being able to do much of *anything*.

Sometimes I feel like a bad wife, I didn't get DH an x-mas card and I'm not sure I'll be able to get him a birthday card. His 30th is this weekend, and more than anything else right now I just want life to be *normal*. I know in the scheme of things (cards, going out for dinner, etc.), those aren't the important things in life ... but that doesn't mean I don't want them! Especially since DH has been a complete angel and a superhero, helping me with everything and doing everything around the house while I can't!!!

we're fast approaching our first year anniversary.....and these past 10 1/2 months or so have been fantastic!

moneywise---we sometimes have to scrape by and sacrifice---which can be a little stressful. but we deal with it together. even joke about how there's no one else in the world we'd rather be po' and broke with.

its been quite the adjustment--living together for the first time....getting used to each other day to day as well as being the "wife" and taking care of the household.

so far its been surprisingly wonderful....i feel so lucky.
