well regardless you have to do that, even for invites being sent to the US. Each wedding invite is different and depending on the dimensions and the weight of it, everyone differs, so theres not one set price for wedding invites. I think the typical invite is $58 but many weight more such as pocketfolds, and some get different sizes so that counts too. You'll have to bring 1 invite to get weighed to see how much it would cost. Ive seen some more than a dollar and up to $2 each. Then yeah anything being sent overseas, same process

Yes & DO NOT INCLUDE an RSVP stamp. They can put on the postage from their country...

Re: postage for ireland??

yea you have to do air mail - the cost i have no clue because the one person we were invited to the wedding from ireland told us that he wasn't going to make it right away over the phone.

Re: postage for ireland??

FH has family in Ireland so we had to send invites there. My invites were .58 cents for US postage so the corresponding weight/amount for Air Mail International postage was $1.80. It was two .90 cent intn'l stamps. You have to get the special air mail stamps though, you can't just put US stamps to add up to $1.80.

ETA: also, i was told at the post office, and you might know this already but I didn't. Don't put any postage on the RSVP envelope on the inside, unless you happen to have Irish stamps. They cannot mail it out from Ireland back to you with US postage. I didn't have time to head over to any of the Irish stores in Woodside to get any so I just sent the RSVP w/o a stamp. Most likely they'll just email or call to let us know whether or not they're coming.

Re: postage for ireland??

I was told there are no more "Air Mail" Stamps-they are just referred to as First calss or something like that. Of note: I just received my cousin's invitation from Ireland and there was no postage stamp on the return envelope so I think you would be ok to do the same.

Re: postage for ireland??

if you can find out how much the whole invite weighs you can go on usps.com and calculate postage for anywhere in the world.
